Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 2006 Jetta TDI. I have owned the car for about 2 years and the car has been trouble free and great to drive in that time. The reason that I am selling is that my commute is mainly stop and go and I am tired of driving a manual transmission as the only option. I recently picked up an auto equipped car, sadly not a TDI, so this car must go to make room for it. During my stop and go commute, I get about 33-35 mpg, and can easily get 45 mpg on the highway. On a couple of early morning (no traffic) trips, I have even been able to get 59 mpg over about 75 miles on cruise control. I'm not lying but you're not likely to get this on a regular basis unless you are a committed hyper-miler. (Again, no traffic on the road and cruise control set at about 50-55 mph) I wanted to see what it would do and was amazed, and ready to commit suicide from boredom! I remember when I was looking to buy, I found this to be a pretty hard to find color combination (charcoal vs beige interior). Other things that pushed me to buy a 2006 instead of a newer 2009+ model include highline options, along with the "Package 2" options which include: Power driver's seat with memory Leather Upholstery Heated front seats Sunroof Full MFD trip computer Steering wheel control buttons "Climatronic" Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control Sirius Satellite Radio (Buyer would need subscription) 6 Disc CD Changer Many of the nice options are not available, even as an option, on newer cars. If you do not want the leatherette (pleather) interior, or manual climate control, a 2005.5 or 2006 is really your only option. I am the second owner of this car and I purchased it from a local VW dealer with about 90k. Since purchase, all maintainence items have been taken care of including: Timing belt and water pump done at 96,000 Air and Cabin filters replaced at 90k Fuel Filter last done at 100k Oil and Filter changed at 5k intervals (VW calls for 10k) with Mann filters and required 505.01 oil, last done at 108,500 Recent maintainence items and repairs that were also done include: 2 New front tires, rear tires are at about 50% New front and rear brakes New left front door lock actuator (Prior to repair, car would sometimes not recognize door being open and closed properly) Recent PA State Inspection, good til October 2012 Mechanically, this car runs and drives like new. There are no issues or surprises that I am aware of and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. The sale will include all 3 keys (2 switchblade remotes, and a mechanical valet ket), and all manuals. The car will also be sold as you see it with: Fully coded and working Hella LED Taillights. Everything works including rear fog, and yellow turn signals. Looks great and really stands out from all of the other Jetta's out on the road. I will also include the original lights if you ever want or need to reinstall them for some reason. Smoked front side marker lights. Blends in much better than the stock yellow lenses. Front Euro Plate. Cosmetically, there are a couple of minor issues, as you would expect for 100k miles, but overall the car looks great. Other than the usual ding/dent/scratch here and there, the Issues that I know about: Rear Bumper has some minor damage, see pictures. Front bumper has some chipping paint, no doubt from road debris, see pictures Driver's seat bottom leather looks dried out. No rips or tears and the heater works fine, but I suspect that someone left the window open in the rain and got the seat wet Wheels have some curb damage All of the damage that I just described, was there when I purchased the car. I have no idea how it happened, but if you would like a more detailed picture, please ask. If anyone would like to take a look at the car in person, let me know and we can arrange to meet up. Please don't wait until the last minute. Since I have purchased cars over the internet before, my goal is to make sure the buyer has all of the information they need to make a good decision. If there is something that you want to know, or that I missed, just ask! The winning bidder will be required to make a $500 deposit via PayPal. The balance must be paid in full before title transfer. (I have the title so no waiting for the bank) I suggest a bank check, but if you insist on a personal check, it must clear before I will transfer ownership. Buyer is also responsible for any and all taxes and fees that are associated with title and registration transfer. I will do anything I can, within reason, to help the buyer pickup or transport the car back home. This does not mean I will deliver the car to you, but I would be willing to pick you up within approx 100 miles or so. At time of listing, the car is no longer being used as my daily driver, but mileage may be slightly higher due to local use and or test drives.
