1932 CHEVROLET CABRIOLET This is a very nice example of the popular 1932 Cabriolet. Often referred to as the baby Cadillac. We have owned this car for 10 years and have enjoyed touring in it. But due to age (mine) we have not been using it like we should. So maybe it is time for some one else to enjoy and be the care taker of this bit of history. The rods and main bearings were re babbited in 2006. Larry Jackson 3:50-1 ring and pinion installed in 2007. Over the year’s I have replaced the king pins and spring shackles where needed. The engine for 1932 is 194 cu. Inches. 3 speed synchromesh transmission. I have never seen any indication of rust or body repair. I had the wheels powder coated shortly after I acquired the car. The tires are now about 10 years old. They show some cracking where the white wall meets the black rubber. But they have been like this for years. I believe it to be a cosmetic defect. I replaced the radiator core shortly after acquiring the car. All the gauges work. The speedometer works, but odometer does not. Also the speedometer is 5 miles an hour slow.
