It has been garage kept the entire time, and driven only on special occasions and has been in car shows. This car has been in California all its life. It has been more of a show car, than a truck to haul stuff. I think this exotic truck is worth about $20K in the current condition. The NADA guide price for a fully restored is over $34K *Rebuilt original engine (5,000 miles ago) *Rebuilt original transmission (5,000 miles ago) *New Brakes *Master Cylinder *Wheel Cylinder (less than 500 miles) *New Clutch & throughout bearing (less than 500 miles) *New Tires *Custom built drive shaft *Electric Ignition *Electric fuel pump *Battery 1 year-old *Front end rebuilt 5,000 miles ago ExteriorThis car has been garage kept for the past 17 years. The paint still shines and looks good. According to the previous owner, the custom paint has 9 layers and the flames have 4 to 5different colors that look really awesome. This truck has very little water spots. I would not call them rust (I have seen rust on cars, and the spots on this one are not even close to rust). The bed of the truck has custom cut carpet kit. This is a very straight car. The overall paint is great, only a few minor scratches. On the bed of the truck, towards the bottom there are a few small bubbles. It is only noticeable when looking at it about 1 foot close to the truck. There are a few imperfections on the paint, since it was painted 12 years ago. Few rain spots and minor scratches, nothing major. The rear gate lock is out and is with the spare parts. I am not sure if it works. The truck comes with original keys and spare keys. The driver side door lock does not close or open with key, but the passenger side works fine with the key. Chromes *Overall in good shape outside and inside *Few chrome chips on the rear bumper *Few water spots on the front grill *Wheels are in good shape and shine Interior The interior is in great condition, the bench seat and the door panels. It is a custom interior (either leather or vinyl, I cannot be sure). All the window rubbers have been changed when the truck was restored. *The carpet is also new condition *The dash was painted yellow to match the exterior *All the gauges work good * The gauge lights work*The fuel gauge does not go all the way up when you fill up the tank. It is not accurate. *The clock lights work, but the clock seems a little slow *The gas pedal is out and it is with the spare parts that come with the car *The generator light stays on (not a big deal) *The heater seems like it is blowing, but I am not sure if it is hot air *The horn does not work, but there is a horn in the spare box that goes behind the bench seat *This 57 Ranchero has a power antenna, but no radio The previous owner told me he never cared to have a radio. (I guess the older generation was not into radio music) The truck also has light tint on the back window and the side small windows. The windows roll up and down, and the side windows work fine. Only the passenger side window does not roll all the way down (stays 3" up). Engine and Transmission *Total miles on this truck is 74,912 *Original 312 motor *3 speed manual transmission on the column This truck has power steering. The power steering makes a little noise when you turn the steering wheel all the way to the right or left. It could be a power steering belt (not sure). Both the engine and the transmission have been rebuilt and the truck has been driven about 5000 miles since then. The clutch is less than 500 miles and the new deferential and the new suspension are custom and less than 500 miles. The carburetor was rebuilt last week 10 miles ago. This truck is mechanically strong. The exhaust is good, the brakes are newer, drives good and just did oil change on it. The only thing is the dip stick for the oil check seems to be the wrong one. Under carriage When you look under this 1957 Ranchero, it looks clean, because it has been restored and not driven much since then. The deferential and the rotors have the matching color as the truck and it looks good. Wheels and Tires This 1957 Ranchero has 14" Cragar s/s wheels 5spoke chrome that shines. This truck has been lowered about 2", and it rides good. Tires are Definity P195/70/14 This truck comes with a few spare and extra parts that are inside the cabin behind the bench seat. As I mentioned this 1957 classic Ford Ranchero is worth more money. It is priced to sell quickly. You will not be disappointed with this beautiful truck and the price. It can also be insured for 30K, that is what a buddy of mine told me, because he is an insurance agent. As the carburetor was being rebuilt at a reputable mechanic shop in Hollywood CA, the truck got a lot of tourist attention. People were taking pictures by the truck, also taking videos. This beautiful truck got a lot of exposure in Hollywood where a lot of tourists visit. BID WITH CONFIDENCE!!! THIS BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC TRUCK CAN BE YOURS IN NO TIME!!!! On Aug-13-11 at 19:33:26 PDT, seller added the following information: I don't know if this Ranchero came with this 312 engine originally. Did not get a chance to check the numbers, but the engine is in good condition with dual exhaust. It sounds great and drives strong. On Aug-18-11 at 21:10:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Good news! I just found out that the generator light is working fine. Once you start up the car, the light goes away. I just noticed that the truck does not come with parking brake. I went into too many details and I forgot to mention it.
