“STUNNING / UNIQUE” FACTORY 1973 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE! POSSIBLY THE MOST THOROUGHLY DOCUMENTED 73 ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET! 1973 was the final year for the classic Ford Mustang! This particular 73 Mustang is simply stunning & is presented in its beautiful RARE factory correct color {6C Medium Yellow Gold}! The paint has a lot of depth & shines wonderfully at dawn or dusk. The color of this classic pony is gorgeous & it garners attention ever time it makes its appearance! “Compliments consistently abound”. This Mustang has spent its entire life in a dry/ controlled environment. I believe any classic car enthusiast would be impressed with this vehicles overall condition. All of the body lines of this Mustang are incredibly true & the seams are all uniform. In regards to the cars structural integrity the vehicle is above reproach. The doors, trunk & hood all shut tight. The front sport urethane bumper is in great shape & the rear chrome bumper is very nice as well. The surrounding factory glass & front windshield also damage free {windows roll up and down properly…not off track like most}. I would also like to mention that this 1973 Mustang took second place once in the 2009 Mid West 67th Street Mustang Car Show! There were twenty three other Mustangs in its competition class {1971-1973}. One of the attributes of this Mustang that helped push it to the top of the class was its custom pony interior! The interior décor color was actually coined Ginger by factory standards {CF code}. There seats are very unique & extremely comfortable. The embossed logo displayed on the head restraints exclaim loud & proud that a horse of a different color has left the stable! The remainder of the interior compliments the seats wonderfully. The door panels, dash & carpet are in stellar condition. I also have to mention the fact that this Mustangs center gauge package actually works! Not one gauge….all 3! You will have no problem monitoring the vehicles performance at any time. The center console is still mounted flush & attached securely. Remote sport mirrors are the order of the day for this Mustang & they also function properly. Believe it or not this cars Rim Blow Steering wheel still works. The factory black power convertible top was replaced about a year ago….it fits tight & lowers with ease. This V/8 convertible came nicely optioned with: power steering; disc brakes & Selectaire air conditioning. The complete drive train is in fantastic condition. I have owned several classic Mustangs, that being said I don’t think that I have ever driven one with a better performing 302 motor! The previous owner had factory motor completely rebuilt {records included}. The vehicles engine displacement remains the same {factory specs}. However you would never know it by driving it. The machine shop used the absolute best equipment to complete the rebuild. IE: Dura Bond Cam bearings, Eagle rods & Ford Mo/Co / Fel-Pro. Components. This Mustang runs AWESOME and really doesn’t miss a beat when pushed full throttle! FYI: The A/C compressor was removed when the motor was rebuilt. Needless to say he {or I} never had it installed again. The A/C did work before he had it removed & I do have all of the original hardware there to install it again. There are also several factory original components that belong to the vehicle that are included with the sale of it. The original air cleaner, valve covers, heat riser & other engine hardware are just some of the parts worth mentioning. They can all be replaced if so desired. The valve covers have all of the Ford original stamps, decals & factory markings on them. The same can be said for the air cleaner. On a Sunday afternoon & an hour of some ole fashion muscle car tinkering this Fords engine bay will look like it did when she left the factory {If so desired}. Whether you decide to leave the chrome finish look or dress the engine bay in factory attire reliability will not be an issue. This one is ready to be driven until your hearts content! Here is a short list of some of the other parts that were replaced {plenty of documents}. Brakes, brake hardware kit, Performer intake, intake gasket, Edlebrock CFM carburetor, throttle lever kit, stainless intake bolts, distributor cap, rotor, plugs, wires, condenser, master cylinder, hoses, belts & entirely too much more to list. Once again …… definitely ready for your driving enjoyment! The factory [C-4 Cruise-O-Matic] Transmission engages properly & has also been completely rebuilt {documented}. “This 1973 pony has plenty of torque”! It also has a chambered exhaust system with dual two chamber Magna Flow Performance mufflers. Great tone…. nostalgic muscle car growl! This Mustang has spank brand new 15x8 inch magnum 500’s with massive raised white letter Firestone Fire hawk raised white letter performance radials {not even driven 50 miles yet….receipts included}. This one handles like a vintage Mustang should! There has been a great deal of attention given to the suspension also. IE: Front Coil springs, Upper & lower control arms, rear springs, sway bushings… etc have all been replaced. This one even has had a Master Pro performance suspension kit installed to improve ride quality…..no expense sparred! The new owner will have an unbelievable very rich history & a litany of detailed service records that date back to the first owner! Some of the documents included with the sale are the: Older Classic appraisal, odometer statement from 1983, Dealer service records & A Donn Darr Ford Dealer Invoice! There is also a list of service records that as been passed on from each previous owner…. Sort of a christening from each individual that shows that the car has been truly cared. GREAT INVESTMENT / SPECIAL CAR! “The documents & records pictured in the listing are not duplicates of the same invoices/records. They are all different & there were still yet more that are not shown in this listing”. Garaged and covered {car cover included}. This gorgeous 73 convertible is worth adding to your collection. It still has its original floors, torque boxes & frame rails. No patch work/ no worries! Absolutely no rust or rot issues/ rare/rock solid! MEMPHIS ORDERING DISTRICT # 23. DELIEVERED TO ED MEIER FORD, TN. Much more could be said about this car, however time does not permit. At the end of the day I am sure that the new potential owner will be more than pleased with this classic convertible. BUY & OR BID WITH CONFIDENCE. Long standing ebay classic car enthusiast! “Keep the hobby alive”. This is a true must see to appreciate vehicle in every sense of the word!
