Vehicle Detail

1965 Oldsmobile 442 You are bidding on one nice solid 1965 Oldsmobile 442 that looks great, runs great, and will give you lots of weekends of fun. This car has 41,078 actual miles! She is a true 442 with the 4V in the trim tag to show the W29 option package. This is also a true option L 4-speed car! Yup, just the way it should be – 400, 4-Speed, Dual Exhaust – (of course I think in the ads it stated 400, 4bbl, Dual exhaust) - We just took this car in a week ago and I had the pleasure to drive it from 3 hours away and she drove wonderfully. This is one of those cars I can say you can fly in and drive home. It seems that reliable. There are also two original brochures, one small one large, a service manual, and the original owners manual plus a folder of 442 info included with the car. We do not get many 65 442’s in stock and to be honest, I just don’t see a whole lot on the market in general. This is a great honest car ready for its new owner. The body on this Olds is in great shape. There is no rot. The underside is solid and clean. The frame is solid with no issues. The panels are straight and in great shape. The red repaint is nice and smooth. It has a great shine to it and looks to have been professionally applied. The chrome and trim are in nice condition. The glass is in nice shape. The interior is in nice condition. The bucket seats are in great shape. The rear seat is wonderful. The original center console is in nice shape and the console mounted Tach works! The carpet is clean. The door panels are nice. The dash is in real nice shape. The headliner is also in nice condition. She has a 4-spoke steering wheel for that sporty feel. The original AM radio is still in place and turns on. There is a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo mounted in the glove box for modern tunes. Under the dash is a trio of Sunpro Oil, Temp, and Volt Gauges to monitor the engines vitals. She also features a power antenna. The lights, wipers, heat, turn signals, etc all work. I should know, I drove back at nighttime and hit some rain on my trip. Thankfully, all was functional. This car really runs and drives well. The 400 Olds motor starts up real easy. Just pump it twice and turn the key. She idles nice and smooth and has perfect power. The 4-Speed transmission shifts nice and smooth. The clutch feels nice. She has power steering and manual brakes. The suspension rides nice. She rolls on radial Red Line tires mounted on Olds SS1 wheels. This really goes down the road very well and is one nice driving car. Overall this is a fantastic low original mileage 1965 442 that has a nice solid body, nice interior, nice mechanical condition, and perfect looks.
