California Central Coast Pick Up, found in a barn, where it had been reported to have been for a number of years. It was used on a farm and driven around the local area. The truck was yellow when I got it, with a straight 6 and three speed on the column. It once had a crack in the nose of the hood of which I have since had repaired. The Truck is now an 8 cylinder, 305 with an auto trans mounted on the floor. All of this work was done by Superior Automotive, of which I have the receipts. The mileage states 63,000 on the odometer, but there are less than 2,000 miles on this new engine and trans. The truck has been painted, has new wood bed flooring, covered with a spar finish. The wood strips came from the Vintage Chevrolet shop on Glassell in Orange, Ca. I had window regulators put in, they are new and from the same place, but I suspect the windows could be a little more efficient in going up and down. The truck has new brakes and tires. The gas tank has been dropped and flushed and their is a brand new radiator as well. I had One Day Auto Body and Paint put the Burgundy color on it, with small pin stripes on the hood and along the sides by the doors. The truck sounds great, runs strong, and could be an every day driver. The truck itself is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, nor is it something one would have to worry about to start with. I am thinking of someone wanting to redo the interior of the cab, upholster, sound system, etc, etc. It does get a lot of looks, and a number of folks do come up and admire it. It is an old truck with a young heart (engine and trans). I am now retired, and tired, and do not have the room nor the inclination to continue to work on this. Let me tell you that the engine and trans were just a tad over $14,000 a year or so ago. There are even headers on the truck. It does run good. I am going to let this go with a very low minimum, and a buy it now price. The truck is in So Cal, so you have to make arrangements to get. I do not express to you a warranty or a guarantee as we both know I can't. The truck will run, and run strong, that is all I can express to you, based on my limited field of expertise. With that being said, and from what I have seen being sold, this could end up being a huge win for someone.
