Vehicle Detail

I have owned this Mustang for 12 years. It has spent the past 5 years being stored in a garage. Previous to storage It was my daily driver. Over the past twelve years I have done a large amount of work on this car to keep it working well as a daily driver. The big things I did would be changing the clutch, and transmission to the 3.03 type 3 speed. This is a better transmission than the original, making it for a better daily driver. I also did work on the Engine. I did not do a complete overhaul, but did open it up, change the piston rings, did a valve job, cleaned it, and made sure everything was in working order. I did this a couple years before I stopped driving it. The engine runs well, but as I have pulled it out of the garage it seems to be burning some oil. In the past month I have put a new battery in, changed the starter, fuel filters, exhaust manifold, changed the lines for the windshield washer, and rebuilt the carburetor. When I did the work on the engine I swapped the head for one off of a 68 because I had it around, and could have it machined while I was still driving the car. This is the head that is currently on the car, but the original head will also come with the vehicle. The body is in pretty good condition. I tried to take pictures of whatever scratches and dings it has. I also photoed the rear wheel wells that have a little rust. This is the only rust problem that I know of on the vehicle. The car spent most of its life (from some time in the 70s until 2001) in New Mexico, and has since been in Tennessee. The car has made the trip between Memphis and New Mexico several times. I did paint the car in 2001, but it was my first paint job, and I can't say that it is the best. The buyer will most likely want to get the car repainted. The inside of the car is in fair condition. While I have had the car I painted the interior (once again part of my first paint job) changed out the carpet, headliner, and front quarter panels. I think this car would be a great candidate for someone who would like a project, but can be driving the car now, and doing work on it as they see fit. I am moving and will not have a place to put the car, so I must sell it. It has been my great joy to own it for the past twelve years, and now I must pass it on to someone else.
