Now, having said that, there are still things that need to be done. It runs well. Here's the highlights of what has been done, engine pulled and painted engine, complete valve job including new valves, gaskets, valve springs, new inner and outer tie rods, idler arm, center link, steering coupler, water pump, radiator hoses, engine mounts, heater core assembly, Pitman arm, gas tank, engine wiring harness, battery, OEM carburetor cover, mirrors for doors, seals for all windows and T-tops. Additionally, I had Midas install disc brakes on all 4 wheels. I purchased an original steering column (tilt/telescope) and had it installed. I purchased power steering and had it installed. When I purchased the car it has a truck 4 barrel carb - I purchased an original 3/2 carb and had it installed (and the carb tuned and timed). Now for what needs to be done other than the body work: the interior is in good shape the seats are really good. The headlights do come up when turned on but don't always go down and the wipers don't work properly (both run off the same compressor). The latch for the telescope steering wheel is broken so it won't lock. So mechanically it's in really good shape for a 41 year old car, the primary issues are with the body work and the gages and electrical inside the passenger compartment. This IS NOT a numbers matching car. I do know (according to the mechanic who did most of the work on it) that the engine block, exhaust , and intake manifolds (that I purchased) are all correct numbers, this is a complete 400 hp 427 engine. The plate on the center console says that it is a 400 hp 427 car. I have checked the frame around the back tires (to the best of my ability) for rust and didn't detect any. It appears that the original owner had this vehicle Ziebarted to prevent rust. This is the perfect car for someone with good mechanical skills and reasonable fiberglass skills and is way beyond a fixer upper.....given all that has already been done. Just needs some minor touch-up work done. Contact: John 303-731-9301 Visit Us Now at www.postfliers.com--> Visit Us Now at postfliers
