For sale is a 4-door 1975 Mercury Comet. I have owned the car for 3 years, my brother owning it for 4 years before that. It has been parked since last October (2010) and hasn't been moved from the driveway since that time. Before I parked it, I used it as my everyday car for college with the inspection running out in Sept. of 2010. I hit a deer with the Comet a few months before buying my current car, denting the hood and damaging the grill (see pics). As of that last inspection, all damage was superficial and cosmetic rust and upholstery damage. All parts are original and neither my brother or I have added or replaced anything on the car other than the catalytic converter and some hoses. I have 4 new tires on it (about 500 miles on them) with multiple spares in the trunk. The odometer reads only 68,000 miles. It also has an air conditioning unit. Although the pictures do not show it, I have two original hubcaps for the car. I had all four but one was lost while driving and another was damaged beyond repair. I'm starting this auction at $300 with no reserve so if you're looking for a cheap commuter car, a restoration job or a parts car, this is the car for you.
