2002 Jeep Liberty Limited Non-Smoker, Clean Title, Leather Interior, Off Road Group, Pre-lowered, Towing Capable, Many options Up for auction is a 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited in good used condition.  We have owned the car since 2005 when we purchased it from Jack Powell Jeep in Escondido.  This has been a family vehicle for us--we never used its serious offroad capabilities the way I had originally planned.  Am hoping this car will wind up in the hands of someone that can better utilize its strengths. The car has many options--ABS, AM/FM/Cassette/CD Changer/MP3 Aux Input, Front Airbags, Side Airbags, Leather Seating, Limited Slip Rear Differential, Power driver and passenger seats, Power Windows, Privacy Glass, Steering Wheel Audio Controls, Trailer Hitch, Trip Computer, Cruise Control, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, OEM Alarm, K&M Air filter, top-of-the-line Optima battery, and an OEM Mopar cargo gate.  This car has the heavier (and superior) early Liberty transmission and also had the stock pre-lowered stance only available on the early '02 models.  It also has the full-time 4WD.  If you're buying a Liberty for offroading, this is one to consider very seriously. For a very offroad capable car like this the car is in good condition.  There are no mechanical problems with the vehicle whatsoever that I am aware of.  The engine is strong and the car rides very well.  The last oil change was done 2,000 miles ago with full synthetic oil, and oil changes and services have been done on schedule.  Cosmetically the car has some usual paint wear from rock chips, etc. and the interior is in good condition for a car that's 9 years old but I do not want to give the impresson it is immaculate.  There is some minor paint damage on the right rear painted bumper cover and right rear wheel well cover--visible in pictures.  Unsure what happened exactly--came out and found these scrapes on the car in a parking lot.  There's also one significant door ding on the left side also visible in pictures.  This is a non-smoking vehicle.   We have all maintenance papers since we purchased the car and it's been a reliable vehicle for us.  We decided to let the car go despite its reliability as we just have not taken it to the snow, etc. as we had planned when purchasing it. The only additional detail I can think to mention right now is the car was installed with oversized tires when we purchased it and we have kept the same tire size on the car with subsequent tire purchases.  With this tire size there is a very slight rubbing against the cardboard-like front wheel well when the wheel is cranked all the way left or all the way right.  Some people cut the well very aggressively to stop this noise when they go to larger tire sizes -- we never did this and just ignored the sound of the rubbing against the non-destructive material.  If this is bothersome a shift to stock tire size or a more aggressive cut (done with a razor) to the wheel well can be done by whomever decides to purchase the car to alleviate the noise. As with any seller, am hoping for an easy clean sale, devoid of complicated payment arrangements, trades, etc.  Feel free to ask any questions you may have--am expecting the typical $500 deposit paid in 48 hours.  For the deposit I will accept PayPal if you are not local but if you are local I am expecting  an in person cashier's check for this amount if payment in full cannot be made in 48 hours.  In all cases payment in full by cashier's check is expected within 7 days of auction close.
