Vehicle Detail
It's was my daily driver last fall and this spring. The NADA low retail value is $2625. I moved back to Florida after my graduate professor lost his funding, this car has been sitting in my buddy's driveway for months and his landlord wants it gone, and I'm short on money. It doesn't make sense for me to transport a car worth only a few thousand dollars over 1200 miles. I'll find another RX-7 when the time is right. This car runs well and is a real blast to drive. The body and the suspension are solid. The car has a few rust spots, but overall, it's clean considering it's age. I payed $1,500 for it thinking I was going to be in East Lansing for a few more years. My loss is your gain. If nobody buys this car I'm going to have to fly up to Michigan and drive it back to Florida. I'd encourage any potential buyers to message me so you can drop by and check it out. Problems I know of: Leak in A/C hose (I don't know why anyone would want A/C in MI anyway.) Solenoid that pops the gas filler door isn't working Door handle on the driver's side is a little loose Speakers work, but need to be replaced Needs exhaust work (in my opinion). I priced the parts out just shy of $400. It does have a muffler now but it's loud and the lack back pressure is making it idle ever-so-slightly rough. Air filter in housing it missing. It has another filter prior to the housing, but I think the lack of the one in the housing is preventing all the vacuum tubes that are hooked up to it from performing properly. (Although I can't see a problem with the performance.) Gas gauge doesn't work The rail for the drivers door window has something wrong with it. You have to hold the window in line while it's going up. None of these problems really need immediate attention (or I wouldn't have used it as a daily driver.)
