Vehicle Detail
1935 International Harvester. Started life as a 1 1/2 ton truck. I built it all myself so feel free to ask any questions I may have missed. Cab is chopped 3 3/4" and channeled 3" over the frame. Wood in cab replaced with 1" steel tubing but the wood in the doors was fine so I left it. Bear claw door latches installed. New safety glass in the front and rear. No side windows but the regulators are there and work fine. School bus seats. Old porcelain Sinclair sign for a floor. 59 Impala column and wheel. I added a temp gauge and the stock oil gauge is hooked up. Those are the only two currently functioning gauges. Frame is a 2X3X3/16" rectangular tubing. Z'd front and rear. Quarter elliptical suspension front and rear. Ford 8" rear axle and early Ford straight axle up front with wishbones. New brakes all the way around. Disc front kit installed. No shocks but goes up and down the road fine but I would install some friction shocks to help out. Corvair aluminum steering box and new tie rod ends throughout. Five spoke aluminum wheels up front and chrome reverse out back. Good used 350 with Edelbrock tripower and Rochester 2GC's. Just running on the center carb currently but the outer carbs are good cores. Early Corvette finned aluminum valve covers. Weed burner exhaust with baffles installed. It's loud when you get on it but I've had it on the road for 4 years and haven't been hassled about it yet. TH350 transmission with a shift kit. Home made shifter with reverse lockout. 16 Gallon keg gas tank. New aluminum radiator. Runs 180 all day long. Grille shell sectioned 6". Guide 682C headlights. 40 Chevy park lamps for taillights. All lights are working but I don't have blinkers wired up. I've put quite a few miles on it and this truck goes up and down the road very well. It's well put together. Has a few rattles on the inside with all the sheet metal and no insulation but it's a rat rod and not exactly a Lexus. Would be a great car for someone that wants something to drive to the local cruise ins and the occaisional road trip. Feel free to send me any questions you may have. The only reason I'm selling it as I'm out of space and want to purchase another project. I may be able to help deliver for $2.00 per loaded mile. Item was relised due to eBay removing the fraudulent buyer that hit Buy it Now last night. Buy it Now requires immediate payment unless arranged before hand.On Jul-29-11 at 08:25:42 PDT, seller added the following information: I'm 6'1" and fit in the truck just fine. Seeing stoplights requires stooping down a bit to see them if you are at the front but other than that it's a lot more comfortable than it looks.
