Vehicle Detail
I'm selling my 1941 Ford Truck rat rod with clean Illinois title. Truck is complete and ready for you to drive home. You won't find another truck like this anywhere and will be the talk of your local car show. It's perfect for the upcoming Hunnert Car Pile Up or similar pre 48 show where no billet is allowed. The body and bed is in great shape and if you want to do some minor body work it would be ready for primer and paint. I like the patina so that's why it's in the shape it is. The truck runs great, drives good, and gets a ton of looks. The chopped and channeled cab creates a small space for the driver so the seats consist of a 1" foam pad and bench backrest (see the photos). The suspension, tires, and steering are true to the era so it doesn't drive like a modern day car, but is very drivable and handles well for a drop straight axle, bias ply tire, and pitman arm steering. The Chevy 283 has less than 5,000 miles on it and really makes this lightweight setup move and runs between 185 and 195 degrees on the temp gauge. Hooked up to the motor is a new starter, water pump, and alternator with less than 1,000 miles. The Chevy turbo 350 automatic transmission was professional rebuilt this winter and also has less than 1,000 miles. New custom windshield, side windows (lexan), windshield wiper, exhaust that goes past the door, horn, turn signals, etc...truck was built to pass the National Street Rod Associations safety inspection. I'm ready to move into a car of similar era so would be willing to consider a trade for a project car. Also, would consider selling without the motor and transmission. I've got the title if you have the cash. Feel free to email me with questions, trades, or if you'd like to check-it out in person. The truck is being sold as is....no warranties expressed or implied. I need a $500 deposit within 24 hours of close of auction and the rest in cash within 7 days. Thanks for looking!
