Vehicle Detail
1950 Lincoln Cosmopolitan You are bidding on a wildly cool 1950 “Baby” Lincoln. This is a cool car with sweet original styling and Street Rod enhancements to make a great driving Street Machine. With its small block 350, automatic transmission, Vintage Air and smooth lines, this car is built for show and go. Similar cars on the market I found for $35,000-58,000! This car is priced below these current market offerings and will make a perfect car for you to cruise. This Lincoln was originally built in 1991 with a folder of repair and build receipts. It also has some original items like the original Brochure, Paint Chart, and a hand typed letter from Ray Price Motors of Stroudsburg Pa (Lincoln Dealership) to Leroy Coventry of Buck Hills Falls PA inviting him to come and test drive the “NEW” 1950 Lincolns and why the new Lincolns are better then every other car. It even has the envelope with its original 3 Cent stamp with Thomas Jefferson on it. That’s some really cool stuff! The body is very solid. The underside is original and in good driver condition. The frame is not rusted. The body panels are clean with no rust holes. The paint is older but still shows well. It has a few flaws, chips and scratches but is nice from at least 10 feet. Typical stuff for any car that has been built for some time that’s been driven. The trunk lid has been smoothed with a remote trunk release pull in the back seat area of the car. The older chrome is still presentable. The glass is in good shape with just the driver’s side of the windshield with a crack. She has working spotlights for a classic cruiser feel. The custom interior is super cool. The cloth seats are in very nice condition. The door panels are in nice shape. The carpet is still in good condition as well. The headliner is great. There is a custom designed wood center console with Lokar shifter. A complete custom digital dash was custom installed and almost looks like it belongs there. A Clarion AM/FM/CD player is mounted in the dash to provide those driving tunes with speakers all around. It has remote power locks via key fob and power remote trunk release also triggered by the key fob. There are two buttons on the dash for the Ouga Horn and Wolf Whistle to complete that old school cool. She also features Vintage Air and Heat! The crate 350 engine runs well. It has a few thousand miles on it since its installation. It features a mild performance camshaft, Edelbrock Intake, Edelbrock Carb, Edelbrock Aluminum Valve Covers and Chrome Air Cleaner plus HEI ignition and dual exhaust. Backing this motor is a TH350 automatic that shifts smooth. The suspension is the original factory and rides like a dream. It really cruises down the road nicely and comfortably. It rides on radial Wide White tires with Lancer Hubcaps for the vintage hot rod look. Overall you are getting a real head turner. She has awesome looks, hot rod engine, custom upholstery, great road manors, and a pile of paperwork. We’ve had this car is the showroom for only a couple days and the response has been incredible.
