Up for auction is a 1982 FJ40, original Dune Beige. As you can see this cruiser is NOT restored. It came to us few days ago and it has ORIGINAL power steering, ORIGINAL A/C, very hard to find with this original equipment; it drives, the brakes work, it starts and runs, everything works except the a/c that we are working on to upgrade to R134 refrigerant. It has a CD player from PIONEER, aftermarket rear bumper, aftermarket front seats (very nice, they have an air chamber for lumbar support) It also have Mag wheels; the frame is very solid, the engine runs strong and we will provide the compression test results in few days (we are very busy) Except for the rust in the usual areas this cruiser is a must; perfect year, color accessories, it is a good candidate for full restoration or just the way it is. What we know about this cruiser is that the previous owner lives in Stuart, Fl and this cruiser was seating for 2 years in his driveway and he just lost interest in his FJ. Lucky us and you guys, now it is in the market and not for long. This is the typical rust from Florida, just parts. When we bought this cruiser the first thing we did before we started it was to remove the gas tank and clean it very well. We cleaned the lines, installed new fuel pump OEM, new filter and added an extra filter just before the carb and we checked the brakes. The old owner stated that he had replaced the master cylinder OEM from Toyota, just before he parked. We checked that and the clutch master and sleeve cyl too, we let it run for a while to see if it overheated and the oil pressure was perfect. Over all this is good FJ.
