I recently bought this Bug, I had it shipped up from Florida. I am happy with it. It runs awesome, SOUNDS incredable, Drives smooth, Shifts great. The wheels and tires were worth the money alone! It's a very solid project (Keyword Project), It's NOT JUNK!! However, as things go I just got an opportunity to buy a completed HOT ROD BUG (NOT A PROJECT) and I bought that also. So I am selling this vehicle, I dont have the money or space for both. Here is the ad I bought the car from: You are bidding on a 1973 VW Super Beetle rat rod. This car has had a lot of work: Modifications done to it including: New drag link New wheel bearings both inners and outers in front & rear with new seals New master cylinder, brake adjusters cleaned and rebuilt 8 pass oil cooler 009 distributer Dual megaphone exhaust RARE Hurst short throw shifter with reverse lockout VDO tach, oil temp and amp gauges The wheels are the old style Centerlines size 15x7 in the front and 15x8 in the rear They are direct bolt ( no adapters ) I called Centerline wheel Co. and they said the wheels are $ 235.00 each The tires are made by Universal tire Co and the tires are $152.00 each. While these wheels and tires aren't new they are in very good shape. One headlight is missing but you can still match it up This car has a push button start and it starts and runs very well. The engine was rebuilt about 2 years ago and has about 6,400 miles and has lots of power and sounds great (COMPLETE CAR MILES UNKNOWN) The brakes are excellent with a good tall pedal There is a crack in the windshield but the cost for a new one is about $75.00 There is some rust at the bottom of the door post but nothing major. The car comes with the engine lid if you wish to use it Also has a pop up sunroof. You will notice that the drivers door is the CA, style with no vent wing and the passenger door is the original with the vent wing. It comes with a Sony stereo ( not installed ). The car has been lowered. It's a fun car to drive and you won't have a lot of money in it and it gets lots of attention. You are welcome to come see the car in person.
