1969 Jeepster Convertible w/Continental Package with 30,421 original miles V-6 Dauntless 225ci engine with 3spd floor shift 4x4. I have all the original paper work starting with the initial letter from the 1st owner on Oct. 28th,1968 stating that she is sending her $200 deposit and requesting to have the vehicle rust-proofed (also have the original Ziebart certificate from 1/31/69). Also have purchase agreement from 10/19/68 stating Model 8701 which was a special color package & requesting the black top (Jeepsters most all were white), red interior, black top, V-6 Dauntless 225ci , Power Brakes & Trim Package "C" for a final total price of $3,542. I have all the owners manuals, even the one for the original radio and even the customer copy of the original cashiers check . The vehicle is in very good shape for its age and looks like is had a repaint at some time. I've tried to show in the pictures the few trouble spots (very few). The main one would be under the drivers floor pan needs to have the rust repaired. Also you can see some minor surface rust around the front window frame. The rear quarters have the same row on each side of what looks like spot welds (hard to see), when I looked further into it they are actually original from the factory (see pcitures). The vehicle runs very good and fires right up with a couple of pumps of the gas pedal. I use it for trips on nice sunny days and it's great to head out to the golf course with the guys. Always gets heads turning and even got an award at a local car show (peoples choice). Vehicle has not seen a winter on the road and only driven in summer on nice days. Radio works fine and also has a FM convertor under the dash as seen in pictures that works fine. Tires are like new, there is a small tear on drivers seat seam passenger seat and back seat in great condition. The black convertible top is in good condition, not faded and no tears with a good clean back glass. Also have the roof boot cover (red). Top is manual fold down. I just put new rear brake drums and pads less than a month ago, clutch is tight and the gas tank was replaced not too long ago. Overall with a little TLC this could be a good show car and is already a reliable daily driver. If you wanted to bring it back to original condition and new paint job and fixing the drivers floor pan would be all it wold take.
