I purchased this vehicle in early 1998 to restore for my wife's 10 year wedding anniversary. The vehicle was purchased from a UCLA college student in perfect running condition, ok paint, good body, and fair interior. The vehicle was given to him by his grandparents and the car was a theft recovery in the 70's with nothing missing. I had a mechanic and body man evaluate the vehicle and was told no accident damage on body or frame and engine was original not rebuilt. I purchased the car and began the restoration process for my wife's dream car. All the parts were purchased online from Foreign Autotech the leader in Repro P1800 Parts. I have some of the original receipts. I recently replaced the original gas tank and rebuilt the Webber Carburator. This car is a beauty and has always been a head turner. People are always surprised it is a Volvo. The car has sat in the garage for a number of years and only driven occasionaly. We have owned the vehicle 13 years and have put less that 5000 miles on the car, if even that much. The odometer reads 62,346 and it is quite possible those are the original miles or the vehicle is 162,346. It is time for someone else to really enjoy this classic car. The car has had the following replaced since I have owned it: New Red Paint, New Complete Interior(front/rear seats, door panels, carpet, headliner), New Trunk carpet, Rebuilt Webber Carburator, New Gas Tank, New Fuel Sensor, New Fuel Filter, New Brake Master Cylinder, New Clutch Master, New Slave Cylinder and Hose, New Plugs & Wires, New Door Seals on both sides. The car has a small paint scratch dent on passenger side front fendor near headlight.
