1996 Chevy Corsica 3.1L V6 with Blizzaks This car is a mechanics' special. I have owned this car for 5 years now. The engine recently started making a knocking sound so I have it parked. If you are mechanically inclined, this can be a gem of a winter car for relatively cheap. A used motor for this car can be purchased for 200-400 including shipping- I have already looked into it. This car is otherwise amazingly dependable and excellent in all weather. Everything works on the car (excluding the engine) including the power locks and the AC. I am currently looking at buying a new car and I dont want the hassle of changing out this engine. The car does start and drive. Update 7-2-11: I checked the oil today and it is still a light brown color with no metal filings at all. This leads me to believe that the engine issue is with the valvetrain- either a push rod issue or a valve issue.
