Vehicle Detail

1976 Pontiac Trans Am I have always been in love with Trans Ams and anytime we get one into the shop, it reassures my love for them. I actually have a 2nd Gen Formula in my own personal collection. These are quite possibly the best all around muscle car there is. With awesome styling, great handing, BIG power plant, comfortable interiors, and undeniable recognition how can you top that? This 76 T/A is a nice original car with lots of documentation. She has copies of the original Build Sheet, Car Invoice, Buyers Order, Original Title, and even the Deposit Check. Besides this, we also have the original Owners Manual and Books with the car. She runs perfect and drives down the road like a dream. This ‘bird is also finished off in a great color combo of Carousel Red with White Interior, now that’s a show stopper! The body is in nice original condition with original sheet metal. The only spot of rust is around the size of a quarter on the rear tail panel behind the bumper. The floors and frame rails are super solid. The quarters, doors, rockers, fenders hood and trunk do not have any rust. The one rocker has a small crease (from a curb?) but you don’t notice it unless you are looking from under the car. It used to have a CB antenna on the trunk lid so there is a small indentation on the filler between the trunk and rear window. She has one older repaint that still looks good. The finish is smooth and shows well. It has various chips here and there as you would expect for a car that was used and enjoyed. The largest 1.5” near the rear window. The Hood Bird is a little faded in the wings but the rest of the decals are still in really nice shape. The trim and emblems are in good condition. The glass is all nice. The white interior is original and in clean condition. The carpet is very nice. The seats are in good shape with just the slightest discoloration from age, nothing to worry about. The driver’s seat has a tiny hole on the side of the seat but this is an easy repair and can be done before the car is delivered. The original headliner is in place but starting to sag. The rear sail panels and side panels are original with slight discoloration but are not chalky. The dash is cracked on the passenger side. She has nice options like cold factory a/c, power windows, power locks, rear defroster, and remote mirrors. The original AM/FM stereo is still in place in the dash. In the map pocket on the console is mounted an Alpine AM/FM/CD/Satellite ready stereo with speakers mounted in the side of the console and rear package shelf. Inside the trunk is an Alpine PDX 1600 Amp and Rockford Fosgate Subwoofer. The trunk is original and solid. It retains the original speckle paint, trunk mat, space saver spare, can of inflator, jack and lug wrench. Also the original 23 Channel CB is included in the sale and… get this… the original Citizens Band Radio Permit from 1976! “Breaker Breaker 1 9!” This T/A is powered by its original 400 engine that is bone stock. She runs quite well, it idles smooth and has no dead spots in the power. The automatic transmission shifts smooth. She has a factory posi rear. Power steering and power brakes makes this a real easy car to drive. The suspension rides nice and tight. It corners like its on rails. The Dunlop tires have tons of tread left and the stripes are still in the tread from new. They are wrapped around the factory Honeycomb wheels that are in good shape. This Trans Am runs very nice and drives down the road very well. The owner states you can drive this car anywhere with no issues. Overall you are bidding on a nice original 1976 Trans Am that is in nice driver condition ready to be driven, enjoyed, shown at local shows, and just have fun with. It is fully documented, and is a perfect car to hold onto as an investment. The colors are awesome too! You know you want it, just hit the “Buy it Now”. DON’T PASS THIS ONE BY!
