Vehicle Detail
This is my daily driver and it's in really good shape. The only reason I'm selling this beauty is because I have a new project I'm working on (A 2380se 3.5 coupe) I recently did a lot of work on this 250C the engine mounts the transmission mounts and the exhaust. I also replaced the alternator and a shock in the back all at about $1500.00. This is new, I just now also changed the master cilinder from the brakes and had them fully checked I also just did a full service all at about $950.00. It has no leaks that I know of and starts every day. I also changed all the carpets at about $500.00 installed. I did a paint job last year, not a competition paint job but a good driving paint job at $2,000.00 Everything is original in the interior and it's also in really good shape. The original Becker radio works great. All interior and exterior lights work also. This car was once owned by Folk singer Bobby Goldsboro for a few months and then it was in the same family for about 34 years. They then sold it to a friend and he then sold it to me. I have ALL repair receipts in the cars life and because of this I know the milage is true. I also have the original books for it. The air conditioner works but needs to be checked as it's not blowing cold. My mechanic said I needed to change the spark plugs and the cables for the spark plugs but I didn't do it cause I intended to sell it he said that would take care of a small misfire you feel when driving (it doesn't bother me). I think anyone that buys and old car knows they should have it checked anyway, but this car is still in great shape. Here's a little description I found of it somewhere "Considered the most durable Mercedes cars ever built, these New Generation W114/115 series, known as the Strich Acht ('Slash Eight'), first took a bow at the Frankfurt Auto Show of 1967. Manufactured for almost a decade, until 1976, Mercedes' New Generation cars are as solid as Sherman tanks and go forever! Exceptional longevity, utilitarianism, and value aside, what a collector wants is a car that elevates one's heartbeat by its sheer presence alone. In 1968 Mercedes added the 250C to the 'Slash 8' family: an elegantly styled Hardtop Coupe like no other. Unlike its successor, the W123 Coupe, the 250C was built in relatively limited numbers and shared the sedan's longer wheelbase, thus providing plenty of space for tall adults and a cavernous trunk." NO RESERVE!!!!!!On Jul-20-11 at 08:10:25 PDT, seller added the following information: This is a few things I have to add In the service done last week the spak plugs got changed and there is no longer a misfire so it runs great. They also tuned the carbs and changed all fluids and everything else that goes with a major service. The mechanic said there was a tiny leak on the radiator but nothing to worry about (I'm driving in it) To fix he said about $120 if I wanted to do that. The inside pasenger door nob isn't working for some reason. (about 60 bucks??)
