Vehicle Detail

1997 Chevy Suburban 6.5 Turbo Diesel. power windows, locks, mirrors. factory AM/FM CD player. All work well. Has compass in rear view mirror. With 234k miles, this Suburban has been treated well through this break-in period. have had it about 3 years. This 6.5 Turbo Diesel has the newer Stanadyne PMD remotely mounted, so you will NOT experience the annoying stalls usually connected to these engines. The original PMD is still mounted on the Injector Pump, ready to use in the future should the need arise. Also, I will include a second PMD ready to install on the heat sink. Alternator rebuilt this past winter, and both batteries replaced with the 1100 CCA North State batteries that I prefer. In keeping with my mechanic's recommendations, I also had the starter rebuilt at the same time. You should have no problems in that area for about 2.5 years or longer. I usually change out these items every 3 years if I use the truck over the road. Yes, new serpentine belt at the same time, and another spare to go with it. I have owned 12-15 of these vehicles, either Suburbans or pick-up trucks and box/step vans and have learned how to solve the problems of stalling out that is usually associated with them. I will explain to anyone interested how to avoid having a mechanic tell you that you need an injector pump to solve the stalling problem. Although I do keep a spare injector pump on hand, I have only replaced 1 in all the years I've been driving these great trucks, and even that one was a mistake. Yes, I'll also sell the injector pump with the vehicle or seperate. Over the road (interstate with cruise on), I usually get about 24 mpg. Around town with normal run-around stuff, I get about 16-18. Pulling my unloaded trailer, about 18-20. Loaded trailer with 5-6k at 14-16. I buy sell and trade everything, but mostly military surplus and used this Burb once in a while to pick up or deliver loads. Usually I used my pick-up, a Chevy 2500 extended cab diesel to pull my trailer, but the Suburban was also used. It has the optional 42 gallon fuel tank that gives a long range drive. Full Service with Oil Changed every 3k miles, transmission filter and fluid changed each 12k miles. TIRES ARE MICHILIN 265/75/R16 E RATED (10 PLY) WITH APP 3K MILES ON THEM. If you are planning on putting your own aftermarket rims and big tires on this burb, I will be glad to make a deal to keep these new ones for my other truck. I'll provide the name of the shop that takes care of all my vehicles and trailers to serious bidders. This Suburban is a push-button 4wd that works perfectly, although I have only used it a couple of times when putting my boat in the water. No big levers on the floor to take up all that space. Has power bucket seat on drivers side, manual on passenger side, with full console in between. Both have power lumbar controls. Seats recline fully for napping. When on the road, I usually slept in the back. VERY comfortable. Air bags on both sides, driver and passenger. Overhead console and dual A/C controls. A/C compressor went out this last Friday so that will need to be replaced. All other components front and rear are about 8-9 months old. The rear A/C components being changed required removing the interior side panels on the passenger side. I have these panels out and the 3rd row seat will need to be re-installed. Rear bumper is slightly misaligned. Doesn't look too bad, but is noticable if you look closely. Missing the plastic top cover also. Interior is in very good condition, does need to be detailed tho. Rear cargo area has some staining but no rips/tears in the cloth seats. 3rd seat not used in the past 3 years, it's in storage. I will include it with the truck. Eight persons can travel in comfort for any distance you choose. Has a V-5 rear hitch for towing, and a 7-pin trailer plug, and an interior brake controller. I used this suburban to tow my boat and occasionally my 24' car-hauler trailer. Trailer is custom made 2008 24' tilt (18') trailer 4 wheel brakes and bulldog hitch. Good 10 ply tires including spare mounted on side. This combination would make a nice hot-shot rig for the guy wanting to make some extra bucks. I'd let the trailer go for $3700. Want to make an offer? try me. I can include a like-new Reese 12k weight distributing hitch and anti-sway device with the right deal if you want it. (I have always kept a spare). I can also include a 750 watt power converter as seen in the pictures. This is great for having 110 power on the road. feel free to ask any questions before you bid. I am around computers most of the day and will respond quickly. However, please do not wait until the last minutes of the auction. Shipping is available in the lower 48 for $1.25 per loaded mile.
