83 SC Targa - Black/Burgandy, Same owner since 1989, Southern car with no rust or evidence of accidents.Clear title from SC and Carfax shows no issues. In 1997 approx 10,000 miles ago the engine /trans were removed resealed and all items such as the clutch,a/ compressor, fuel tank,flywheel,rear seal and trans seal, pilot bearing,wheel bearings, fuel injectors replaced,rear sway bar replaced,clutch cable,window motors and many other items were replaced - the total invoice for all these recent upgrades was $10,909. In Dec of 1997 the entire interior was replaced - leather seat covers,front/rear, dash panel kit,,door panels, carpet set, rear shelf, and targa top and headliner replaced. Total invoice for this work was $7,486. In Sep 2003 the car was repainted the same black color at a shop in Hilton Head SC - invoice $2,865. Over $21,000 has been invested in this car in the last 10k miles of operation. These invoices are avaiable for your review - call me and i will scan and send to you.This car has been garage kept since the owners purchased it in 1989 and it has been sitting in the owners garage basically unsed for the past 7 years as the husband passed and the widow did not drive the car. It has just had the brakes rebuilt ant the fuel pump replaced. Car drives well. Tires are Michelins - lots of tread but they are several years old and i would replace them only because of age. The car is a euro car which provides a 20hp increase over US cars - the car has been properly federalized, has the US Vin Tags and is correctly titled in SC. There is a very small ding in the front hood about the size of a pea and a 2 in. slit in the rubber bumper on the right rear. The paint is in good condition but I can see evidence of an old color change when you look carefully around the gas tank and front interior area. The car is a good driver .Make a reasonable offer as the widow does want it to be sold. Car is for sale locally.
