Vehicle Detail
Relisting... local purchase deal fell through. I still have this car listed locally and reserve the right to close the listing early due to a local sale. Thank you. 1975 Corvette Convertible - Red painted Hard top/ Black soft top -Original Matching numbers L-48 350 V8 - ~23,500 original miles - Red with Black leather interior - Original automatic transmission - Power windows, steering, disc brakes, manual locks - A/C (does not work at this time) - tilt/tele steering wheel -never in an accident or damaged Non-stock items: - Pypes performance stainless steel exhaust (NO CATALYTIC CONVERTERS). http://www.pypesexhaust.com/sys-vette1.html - Hurst bump-shifter - Genuine 1978 Corvette PaceCar wheels (with the red stripe) - K&N air filter - Sound system: Custom auto sound Corvette stereo with MP3 adapter, infinity kickpanel and rear speakers, custom rear speaker enclosure and blaupunkt amp. (The original stereo and speakers are sold with the car). No permanent mods were performed. I have owned the car for about 5 years. Three years ago (at 22,000 miles), I had new brake pads installed, the system checked and a leak fixed. The car also had a full tune up and fluid change at that time. In June 2009, I had the front and rear bumpers replaced (cracked due to age) with new genuine GM bumpers (GM still makes bumpers for the C3). The work was performed through Corvette Kings (Michigan City, IN). The car is stored in a climate controlled garage with a battery tender, under a California Car Cover (NOAH). It starts every time and runs great. It is fun to drive and drives almost like new. Points of interest: - NOT originally a red car... but rather paint code 42, bright green metallic (the only year for this color)! - Only 4629 convertibles were produced in 1975 (and not again until 1986). Only 1664 of the total ~38,500 corvettes produced that year were painted green (about 4%). Therefore, there were about 185 cars produced with this combination. Please email me with any questions or to set up an appointment to see the car. USA sales only. I will not ship this vehicle overseas. Buyer to arrange transport if required. I reserve the right to close this listing early, it is for sale locally. Thanks. Here is a link to additional photos and a video of the car running.
