1966 Triumph Bonneville

This is a 1966 Triumph Bonneville T120R that I acquired last September. I purchased it with the intention of restoring it, but I will be relocating to the west coast later this year and already have 4 other bikes to move with me. So, the Triumph is up for sale. I had this bike delivered to my workshop where it has sat waiting for restoration. I have never started it. The fuel system needs sorting out and the motor does kick over - it is not seized. I suspect that a weekend of tweaking would get this bike mostly road worthy. My intent was a complete tear down and restoration so getting it on the road in this condition was not a goal of mine. The electrical system does work - it had a charge and the headlight switched on when the bike was delivered (the battery has since run down). It is missing the left side rear axle retaining fastener. With that exception I believe the bike to be complete (I am not a Triumph expert). The air cleaners are included but are off the bike in bags and not shown here. Every inch of this bike will need attention. It is the perfect restoration "patient" which is why I purchased it myself - if you're looking for a decent rider, this could be such a bike with some work, but I would suggest looking for a more properly sorted machine if that is your intent. If, like me, you're looking for a bike to restore, this one fits the bill. The color isn't factory, and the Triumph badges on the fuel tank are not correct for the year. The front fender has been snipped. The motor and frame numbers are matching.though which was the most important thing to me. I have the title to this bike but never registered it in my name - I imagine this is not an issue if you wished to register it in your state with a bill of sale stating the transfer. The mileage appears as 1706 but I'm certain this is incorrect and unfortunately I do not know the real mileage of the bike.
