Vehicle Detail

2002 CAMARO SS 5945 Original Miles Collector Owned-Climate Controlled Storage This is a beautiful example of a low mile 2002 Camaro SS . It has been part of a large high quailty automobile collection here in Fort Lauderdale, Florida since 2003. The collection has some of the rarest and finest Amercian high performance cars ever built. The collections owner has aquired a few new cars and he decided to make room for them by letting the ebay community have the chance to own one of these fine cars. We have recently sold his 800 mile 1986 IROC Z -28 and his 3400 mile 1989 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am Indy Pace Car here on ebay. This is the last car he is letting go to make room for his new purchases. There is no other reason for the sale . We just cannot keep them all !! In 2003 my friend (the owner) was at work when a salesman at the local Chevy dealership gave him a call about this car. The original owner had just traded the car in on a new Corvette after only having it for a few months and putting about 3500 miles on it. It was bascially a new car. The salesman knows my buddy very well. He buys about 5 new cars a year from this dealership and the salesman knew he likes special cars so he called him about the car to see if he had any interest. He did. These were the last of the F Bodys and the last of the Camaro (so everyone thought). My buddy had wanted one to round out his collection of Camaros and almost bought one from the dealership in 2002, but the deal fell through.. He stopped by that night after work and brought the car home. I saw the car the day after and was impressed with the car from the moment I walked up. The original owner had done a few very tastefull bolt on upgrades. Everything was professionally installed and looks factory. Its all bolt on and can be changed back to stock very easily if wanted but I would leave the car alone, it runs and drives better than new. Walking up to the car you notice how well it has been cared for and used. The exterior shows very well with just a few very minor flaws. I have found about 2-3 small scratches( I think they will buff out easily) , one tiny ding ( a paintless dent guy will easily remove it), one scratch on the drivers door near the keyhole that was touched up before my friend bought the car and a few paint chips at the driver door edge. The paint has very good gloss and depth, there is no evidence of accident damage or previous paintwork. All body panels have good gaps and alignment. Doors open and shut as new. Rear hatch works flawlessly. Glass is in excellent condition. Headlamps, side markers and taillamps are all in mint condition. All exterior emblems in excellent condition. You could never restore one to look this correct, cars are original only once. This car looks like it is 6 months old not 9 years old. I was driving it today when two younger guys that were driving another 4th Generation Camaro saw the car. I thought the were going to crash when they took their eyes off the road to soak in the beauty of this car. Just kidding, but man did they look!! This car will blow the minds of most car guys when they see it. Imagine showing up at the next cruise night with this car. You will be the talk of the show! I have many photos of the exterior of the car but feel nothing can give you a look at the car better than a video. Please see the video below for a walkaround the exterior of this beautiful 2002 Camaro SS. The Ebony cloth interior is as mint as the day it left the Ste Therese , Quebec assembly plant on 4/15/2002. Sitting in the interior of this car is like getting in a time machine and going back to the dealers showroom in 2002. The interior shows just as a new car should. No issues. It is that nice. Creature comfort options include Preffered Equipment Group (Includes the following options) Speed control Remote hatch release Fog lamps Power Door Locks Power Mirrors Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel with Radio Controls Remote Keyless Entry Theft Deterrent Alarm System Bodyside Moldings Power Drivers Seat To add to the driving pleasure the SS was also ordered with these additional options Monsoon 500 watt Premium Sound System Remote 12 disc CD Changer Rear Window Defogger Factory equpiment includes Air Conditiong Tilt Steering Intermittent Wipers Floor Mats This car was ordered right. No T-Tops and all the right options. Please take a look at the video below for a great look at the complete interior of the outstanding 2002 Camaro SS. SLP , Street Legal Performace was contracted by GM to perform the Camaro SS Performance/Appearance Package installation. This is 2002 SLP Camaro SS number 6961. The SS Alteration package consists of the following: 325 horsepower Forced Air Induction Hood 17" Aluminum Wheels SS Specific Rear Spoiler P275/40 ZR 17 Tires High Performance Ride and Handling Suspension Low Restriction Dual Exhaust Power Steering Cooler SS Badging The LS1 engine in this 2002 Camaro SS was factory rated at 325 horsepower. Many stock examples have shown 325 horsepower at the rear wheels with no modifiactions. This Camaro SS has a few very high quality bolt on performance upgrades to enhance what is already a very potent combination. Long tube coated and wrapped headers with aftermarket high flow catalytic convertors and SLP center mounted exhaust system including a polished stainless steel muffler really wake up the LS1 and give it an aggresive but not too loud exhaust note. It sounds just the way a musclecar should sound. An SLP air box lid and Hypertech power programmer round out the performance enhancements. Overall the car has excellent manners and outstanding driveability. Please see and hear the engine and exhaust by watching the video below. You will see a small amount of condensation from the exhaust near the end of the video. That is normal. The original owner also installed high quailty BMR suspension components when the car was new. They include a strut tower brace, lower control arms and panhard bar. He also installed a SLP driveshaft loop/cross brace. It does not appear the car was ever raced or driven hard. I believe the car still retains it's original tires. The wheels are mint except for the left front that has minor curb rash in one small area shown in the video. This is a 2002 SS Camaro that anyone would be proud to own and add to their collection. The car is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida any interested legitimate parties are invited to personally inspect the vehicle before the auctions end. Please contact me to arrange a viewing. Please ask any and all questions before you bid. Thank you and good luck!!
