This auction is for a 1983 Mercedes-Benz 380 SL convertible. I'm listing the vehicle for the widow of a good friend that passed away a couple of years ago and she does not have computer access. Since my friend's death, the automobile has been sitting under a carport for the last 3 years and hasn't been started, but was running prior to that. The vehicle was one of two identical 380's purchased new by Carl Perkins (of country music fame and the writer of "Blue Suede Shoes) and his wife. This was actually Carl's wife's car and my friend purchased the vehicle from her after Carl's death. There is documentation that goes along with the vehicle as well as original tags, etc. The vehicle has 142,108 miles on the odometer and is in used condition.
