Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1977 Chrysler Cordoba equipped with the “lean burn” 400 cid V8 engine and automatic transmission. The Cordoba is owned by the AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) Museum in Hershey, Pennsylvania, a non-profit museum dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of transportation history. We recently took the car out of storage. It started right up with the installation of a charged battery and fresh gas. This Cordoba is in decent overall condition and can be used and appreciated as is or it will also make an easy restoration project for its new owner. It is offered with a reasonable opening bid and no reserve. The car is not for sale outside of eBay and the auction will not be ended early. All proceeds benefit the Museum. The car was test driven around the Museum campus. It was not taken out on the open road. It starts, drives, shifts and stops with no obvious problems. The vehicle is equipped with power steering, power brakes and air conditioning, among its options. Most items are in working order with the known exception of the radio and the turn signals. The body is straight and the doors and panels have good fit/alignment. The paint is somewhat faded and has signs of being touched up, along with small chips and nicks throughout and small amounts of visible rust/bubbles on the rear quarters trunk decklid edges and door jams. There are also small dents on the front and rear right side fenders. The interior is complete and in good overall condition. The headliner is nice, the front and rear seats free of tears and holes. There is some normal sun/heat damage to the dash and rear package tray and the door panels. All chrome, emblems and trim are intact. The underside is in comparable condition to the rest of the vehicle. The car comes wtih a box of extra parts including: service manuals, two carburetors, a set of wheelcovers, taillights, wheel well moldings, mirrors and miscellaneous rubber parts. The Cordoba is accurately represented in the photographs but interested parties are encouraged to ask questions and/or schedule a personal inspection. This vehicle is offered as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. It has a valid Pennsylvania title which will be transferred to the new owner upon successful completion of the transaction. Shipping and transportation of the car will are the responsibility of the new owner. We will gladly work with you or the shipper/transporter of your choice to coordinate the move. The new owner will have two weeks from the completion of the auction to pick up the vehicle unless other arrangements are made in advance. The car is located at the AACA Museum, 161 Museum Drive, Hershey, PA 17033. Payment may be in the form of cash, bank/cashier’s check or PayPal.
