Vehicle Detail

1969 Torino GT 2-door sportsroof. Fun car that could be driven or restored. Motor is original with numbers that match the VIN title, door, and dash. Basic Marti report decodes; Atlanta car, 428-4V CJ Ram Air, Candyapple Red, Black Vinyl bucket Seats, 3.50 Traction-Lok axle ratio, Four-Speed Close ratio manual transmission. Options include 4 spd, traction lok differential, F70x14 tractin Tires w/raised white letters, Goodyear brand, Console, AM radio, tinted glass-complete, and tachometer. Odometer has over 65,000. I will attempt to describe the cars condition later, but am short on time tonight. For now I'll say it's a very solid and complete car that would make an excellent restoration candidate. I drive the car around town and that's all well and good, (fun too), but don't put any "over the road" miles on it. For the free spirited that would like to buy it and road trip home, forget it. The car starts, idles and runs fine, but needs a little tender loving care (tuning) to be road worthy. The Torino I had 20 years ago shifted, steered, and stopped better. I'm planning on letting the auction run it's course but reserve the right to end auction if there is little interest or bidding. I am realistic in my expectations, yet not in dire straight. I've been meaning to list the car for several months but have been procrastinating as I love these old big block 4spd fords. No offers will ends the auction, just enter your bid on line and come what may. Bidders, please have a positive history, bid early, and bid to win. You are welcome to inspect or perhaps drive the car before auction end. Funds need to clear my account before car is removed. Title is held in my business name. I'm not a "classic car" dealer, but have a rv dealership, therefore title will be transferred from my companies name to yours, and therefore i have to collect sales tax on mn residents. There is a $50 doc fee to any buyer. Car will be stored inside until pickup, and I'll help your transporter load the hour he arrives. Payment is expected promptly, but I can store for like three weeks, no problem. On Jul-14-11 at 15:56:42 PDT, seller added the following information: door tag reads Body: 63D colo: T Trim: 8A Date: 18F D.S.O. 11 Axle: S trans: 6 also has factory tach My daytime number is 507 274 6166 (Troy), while the auction is on until saturday noon, saturday noon i may have limited access to internet and will not be in the office until mon morning. I've read of relists that didn't get paid, this car will not be listed again, nobody needs to contact me after the auction ends except the winner. If there is something you'd like a picture of, i may be able to take and send it to you. I believe all body panels to be original. At minimum the car needs an oil sending unit plastic line, carb to intake 1/4" spacer, a better battery or a charge, front side blinker lights, headliner (appears in ok shape except one seam has popped. The shifter needs to be lubricated or rebuilt, windows need to be adjusted, rear view mirror and side mirrors sag, tires are not road worthy, windshield has at least a stone bruise in it and it's scratched. the clutch is tempermental, normally works great, rarely it doesn't release smoothly. If you can't tell in the pictures, the hood has a slight bend in it where the hinges were tight. At minimum car is missing shaker air cleaner, trunk key cylinder, right side arm rest If you are a buyer, ask for an email of the rusty spot between the pass door and the right quarter, i thought i posted it yesterday, but it didn't take, and i'm out of available pictures to post. Also, the deck is rusty enough that on a restore, replacement is your best option. Once again, thank you On Jul-14-11 at 17:39:18 PDT, seller added the following information: oh yea: 9A42R278142
