A 1968 model year FORD Bronco and we should have spirited bidding on this vehicle. We are listing it for sale for only the second owner ......and this Bronco is in remarkable condition after being around for 44 years. It only has 166,100 miles on it ........... (Thats about 3,800 miles per year for our learning impaired Bidders) .........and someone is going to make a great buy on this Vintage FORD 1968 Bronco. As we said ......... We are selling it for the second owner and this Bronco has always been here in southern California. The best part is that we are selling it at AUCTION with NO RESERVE and that is as good as it gets friends so you will need to BID EARLY and BID OFTEN if you want to be only the 3rd owner this FORD has ever had! ............ This is a NO-RUST California Bronco and is completely functional today ........... and will give the new owner years of service as it is today ........ and it would also make the perfect platform for anyone who wants to re-store a Bronco. It has always been Adult driven and maintained and is a rare example of a un-molested classic that has survived. We have over 100 photographs of this classic FORD and we urge you to study them before you Bid. If you have the ability to come and see this Bronco ............ We have made a point of photographing areas that you expect to find rust in a older vehicle. I will start with some of the things that strike me as very nice but unusual about this classic.................... The interior door panels are intact and have never been cut to install speakers ......... the original AM radio is still in the dash and working ............. the original 302 and Bronco Badges are intact and present ........... the Bronco comes with both original black and yellow California license plates .......... both the original hood and the original steel FORD hardtop are available for the new owner .......... the original Keys come with the vehicle and work fine ........ This really is a rare classic that has survived and it will be a good purchase if you are buying it to use as is ............. or to use as a platform for a complete restoration. You can look at it all day and you will only find mild surface rust ......... but you will not find any panels rusted through or any panels that have been replaced. I do not beleive this Bronco could have survived this long had it not been here in southern California. The second owner believes that this Bronco has never been out of California! ............. It has never seen snow or dealt with roads treated with Salt, Sand or Chemicals ....... and it has only rarely seen Rain. This Bronco is quite simply ........... As good as it gets .......... for a original 1968 model that has actually been used and driven. At the very bottom of this listing you can click on a link that will show you over 100 photos of this Bronco and we ask that you please study those closely before you Bid. The current owner has had it for 9 years and he has used it sparingly in that time and until just recently ...... it was always stored indoors. The body was re-painted the original color about 12 years ago and the parts and pieces that have been used to upgrade the Bronco have been well thought out and have improved the Bronco ........... and I think our photos will bear that out. FORD produced the BRONCO from 1966 clear through 1996 but it was the first few years that really captured the attention of buyers and that remains true today. This year ....... 1968 is also one of the years that allow you to fold-down the windshield .......... which is a very cool feature. Because these early Broncos had a body, frame and suspension that were all NEW and not shared with any other vehicles and because they were built on a short 92 inch wheelbase .............. they were an instant success ............ but they were produced in small numbers. There were only 16,841 Broncos produced in 1968 ............. ........ compared to over 315,000 FORD Mustangs produced the very same year and you can imagine how many 1968 Broncos survived at all ........... and fewer yet in this good of condition. The original design was simple and carried a price tag of less than $2,300.00 .......... so they were affordable. The idea, creation and design of the Bronco came from the very same team at FORD that produced the legendary MUSTANG and the Bronco was so "NEW" in the Car industry that it took a few years for Chevy and other makers to catch up. This example that we are selling has a 302 cubic inch FORD V-8 and the original 3 on the tree ........... has been adapted with a HURST floor shifter. The motor runs strong and does not smoke or leak any fluids. The current owner has used it to travel to the Sierras for camping trips and it has performed flawlessly. A list of improvements include the following: re-built 302 V-8 with headers and new exhaust system, Hurst floor shifter, Upgraded Disc Brakes up-front & Heavy Duty Drum in rear, Upgrades Axels, Lockers, 4" lift Kit, Coil over James Duff suspension, Tube Bumbers installed front & rear, New interior arm rests, Near rear tail lights, New Soft Top with removable windows (Original Metal Hard-Top is available to buyer), New Corbeau front Bucket Seats and a rear 2 person Corbeau seat with race-car style lap belts (these are compatible with full harness belts), Rebuilt Driveline and Rebuilt Holley Carburator, New $200.00 Battery, Interior Roll Bar, Working Winch, Driving Lights, Front & Rear differentials serviced and Oil changed, Aftermarket fiberglass hood (original hood available to buyer, New Pioneer stereo installed under dash with MP3 cababilities plus 2 6 x 9 speakers installed in rear (Original AM Radio still installed in dash and working). This Bronco is a strong running reliable vehicle and will give the new buyer years of service. So?.......... What is the bad news about this 68 Bronco? ........... Well, Not much and I am not kidding........... The Remington tires are at about 50% tread and the windshield will need to be replaced at some point because of a fracture in the center and that is about it............. That leaves us with the question ............. What is a 1968 FORD Bronco in this condition worth on todays secondary market? .............. I see people asking and getting big prices for Bronco's that are NOT this nice or well kept ........... in some cases as high as $15,000.00 to $18,000.00............ but we will leave the value of this one up to you ........... our eBay customers................. We will START the Bidding at a single Benjamin Franklin ............. and we will sell it to the high bidder! ............. it does not get any better than that friends ..........so Bid early and Bid often if you intend to be the next and only 3rd owner of this 1968 FORD Bronco. Considering the condition of this Bronco and the fact that it has only had 2 owners that have both worked hard to kept it this nice and original ........... I think anything LESS than $12,500.00 would be a steal .......... but we will have to wait and see. TERMS of SALE: We require a $2,000.00 Deposit within 48 Hours of the Auction end ........... and ............. We require Full payment within 7 days of the Auction end without exception. PayPal is fine for the Deposit but NOT the Balance. For the balance we prefer a Bank to Bank wire-transfer or you can overnight a Cashiers Check. The Bronco will not be delivered until our Bank is satisfied it has good funds ........... even if your Daddy is a finance minister of a small overseas country! ............. We will store this Bronco for 30 days without charge (after it has been Paid in Full) in order for the buyer to make arrangements to come and get your Bronco. The original hood has been stored outdoors for the past few years and is in rougher shape ........... but still has the original Glass and would clean up with a sandblasting and prep before paint.
