Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING PRIOR TO BIDDING!!!! This is basically a rebuildable car with 90% of the original parts remaining. Original 383 engine and 727 transmission. EB3 Light Blue Metallic Paint, and H4B5 Medium Blue Interior. The rear valence panel, a couple pieces of trim for the trunk, inserts for both front door panels, and the original mirrors, gas filler cap, and air cleaner are the only parts that are missing. There may be other small trim items missing that I’m unaware of. The car has a chrome locking gas cap and junk plastic mirrors as well as a chrome top hat for an air cleaner. The car has a power bulge (rallye?) hood that is not the original. It has a dent in the front edge where some troublemaker kids bounced a brick off it when it was parked in front of my house in 1990. It does come with the original jack. The door panels have been replaced with black ones and appear to be correct. As far as I know, the engine and trans are original equipment. According to the title, I purchased this car in 1990, although it seems to me that I had it a few years before then. It was always my intention to completely restore it but life has a way of putting up numerous roadblocks. As far as I can tell, the car has spent it’s entire life in Colorado. Except for some small rust areas around the rear window, and one small spot behind the right rear wheel, that I’ve attempted to show in the pictures, the car was virtually rust free. Until 2001, I had it stored outside but since then it has lived in my heated garage. After parking it in the garage I assumed it remained completely rust free although I was unaware that moisture had accumulated under the rubber trunk mat where it remained until I opened the trunk to discover it last month. Consequently, I discarded the rubber mat and the trunk floor will need to be replaced. The car runs, drives, and stops but will need to be trailered since the tires are worthless rags. Also, since the car has been sitting for so many years it will not be dependable enough for an immediate over the road trip, not to mention it hasn’t been started for about 7 years. I guarantee the engine runs but not the running condition of it. The last time I drove it, it needed a tune up but it did not smoke. Approximately ten years ago I had a B-body rear end installed along with Chrysler Super Stock springs. I think the rear end was from a ’65 or ’66 coronet. It is an open rear end with 3:23 gears. B-body rear ends are narrower than E-body’s thus allowing (requiring?) deeper dish wheels, or at least more offset wheels. The roof trim indicates there was a vinyl roof, however, I can find no evidence of any bodywork or repairs anywhere on the car. Usually vinyl roof cars have a messy weld line where the “A” and “C” pillars connect to the roof since it gets covered up by the vinyl. I can find a very small weld line on the “A” pillars, but the “C” pillars appear perfect. I can not figure out the paint. It does not appear to have ever been painted but I would not have expected EB3 Light Blue Metallic to fade to this color. The previous owner also made a very poor attempt at adding a T/A spoiler. Maybe this is worth a little money if you can get it off in one piece. The dash pad is cracked as usual. The previous owner removed the stock radio to install an aftermarket junk stereo. The interior has a very rare “bucket bench” seat that can be recovered or swapped out for buckets. I have too many cars and I need cash to work on other ones. Basically, the person who wins this auction can rebuild this car without spending months searching for missing parts or trying to shore up rotted out sub frame members. Everything is here to dig right in and complete. Invest $10,000 in paint, interior, and rebuilt engine and maybe add some R/T badges and you’re driving one of the most sought after classics that will only increase in value. Please check out all the pictures and contact me with any questions at 720-260-5003. Terms and Conditions: I am not going to waste my time on non-paying bidders. If you win the auction there is a $300 PayPal payment required within 12 hours (eBay software only allowed me to put 24 hours). I have bid on many items on eBay and I always know within a minute of the end of the auction whether or not I’ve won. At this point I’m able to make my payment within 12 minutes, consequently, I see no reason for a winning bidder to not be able to meet this requirement. If the initial deposit is not received within 12 hours, I will contact eBay, re-list the item, and have the winner flagged as a non-paying bidder! Once I have the initial deposit, the winner can contact me and we’ll work out pick-up arrangements and timing. I will not be responsible for shipping, but I’m happy to help load. On Jul-05-11 at 10:31:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I just went out and cut away the carpeting to see the floorboards and discovered some surface rust but no rust through. Also added pictures of floorboards and fender tag. On Jul-08-11 at 07:57:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Okay, just lowered reserve to $7500, it's only $1000 away and bidding ends Monday. I don't think E bodies that are this straight in this condition come around too often and I think it's worth this much. If it doesn't reach the reserve, I think I'll just have to keep it and sell something else. Thank you all for your interest.
