Vehicle Detail
This 1974 FJ40 LandCruiser is an excellent example of a classic desert 4x4. The paint is faded just right, all metal is solid and no rust holes. Arizona vehicle all of its life. All parts and pieces are intact. My plan was to clean it up, and drive it for fun, but now I need the money to pay for other things. So, its time to sell. Due to its age and the desert heat, some of the plastic connectors by the wiper motor have fallen apart so I've unplugged that. Some of the running lights did not work at all but they do now. The turn signals do work occasionally, so I'm sure there is another plug issue somewhere. Brake lights work fantastic though. The original seats were shot so I just covered them with a pair of cheap seat covers. Dash is heavily cracked. The carb was not working at all, so I purchased a brand new Weber which is on their now, $379, runs much nicer now. New tires on original rims, have all original hubcaps. Brakes were cleaned and new shoes in the front. New Clutch master and slave is installed. Other than one stone chip on the front windshield, all glass is good including the rounded glass on the back. Have two jumpseats also. Made a simple bikini top which you see in the photos. This thing gets great looks everywhere and I really did not want to sell it but its time. FJ40's of this vintage and in this much original shape are very hard to find. Also, I have a new standard battery, as the optima red top goes with another car I have.
