The car comes with the service records since 1976 with very detailed information, including dates of service, type of service with recorded mileage at the time and the amount spent on each service. Remember that you are bidding on a 40-year-old vehicle. This great Opel was refurbished 10 years ago, and looks and drives good. It has been driven a little over 5k miles in the past 10 years. If you are going to be driving this vehicle on a daily basis, you need to have the car checked out and do some adjustments, since it has been garaged for the past 2 years, and was only started occasionally. Car Description· The car comes with Opel GT aftermarket owner’s workshop manual as well as the original owner’s manual. There is additional information included with the manual for the Weber carburetor adjustment. · The timing is slightly advanced and needs adjustment for better performance and gas flow. · Comes with aftermarket wheels, look good on the car. · The paint looks good, was painted 10 years ago, but not a show room paint.· Has no body rust. Some chips and flaws. Solid floors.· Garage kept and pampered.· Has a clean title.· Headlights roll perfectly.· Original “Opel Blitz” hood emblem in perfect condition.· All headlights are NOS HELLA- not reproductions.· Original gas cap, locking type.· All chrome is in decent shape. The front bumper has a 2 inch imperfection (shown on pictures). · Original dashboard with cracks on the middle part and some on the driver’s side. It comes with a leather dash cover. · Original sun visors in like new condition. · Good headliner, but two mouse bites (shown on the picture). · Original seats in perfect condition, except one small tear on the driver’s seat (shown on pictures). · All switches and gages work, but the clock is a little slow, and cannot adjust it. RPM gage is a little off moves constantly (needs adjustment or cleaning)· Original heater controls work smoothly, blows from the windshield area. Was not able to see other ducts.· Windshield wipers work good.· Door panels, inner handles, window handles are in good shape.· Original carpet is in great shape.· Windows roll up and down. · New brake pads and braded brake lines· New Webber carburetor (5k miles on it)· Old battery but works good Motor and TransmissionThis OPEL has a complete rebuilt 1971 Opel GT motor and complete rebuilt its original 1970 transmission 5k miles ago. The previous owner mentioned that the original motor started burning a little bit of oil at 98k miles that is when he purchased a 1971 original Opel GT motor and did the complete overhaul. The motor has;· New water pump· New water hoses· New gaskets· New clutch and pressure plate· New plugs and wires· New aftermarket exhaust (sounds good) Flaws· The paint has minor imperfections and small chips· The 2 rear bumper rubber guards are glued on to the bumper and shows from close by (shows on the picture)· Rear brake light lenses on the bottom where the screws go are broken and glued back( shows on the pictures)· Rear view mirror is broken· Passenger side Opel sign is missing (shown on the picture)· Tires are old from sitting, needs new set of tires. Tires are off-balanced 40-50 mph starts to shake.
