1969 Corvette Convertible 350/350hp, 4sp Manual History - This vehicle was bought new locally by a friend of mine. When the car was a year old it was bought by my wife's best friend. She owned the vehicle up until the time of her passing a few years back. At her request the car was offered for sale to my wife by the family. With that being said I am the 3rd owner of the vehicle. After owning it a couple of years it was decided that a full restoration needed to be completed. Restoration - The car was in good used shape to begin with. But needed paint, interior, and the usual stuff for a vehicle of this age. A frame-on restoration was performed by me just a few years ago. The factory matching #s engine and transmission were gone through first. Suspension and brakes were attended to next. All factory rally wheels were restored, and fresh Goodyear Eagle GT II's were installed. The tires only have about 1000 miles on them. Finally the body would receive new single stage PPG Urethane in its original hue of Cortez Silver. All emblems were replaced and any chrome parts were replated. Upon completion of the body a new black convertible top was installed. This car is a factory two-top car. I have the factory hardtop in original unrestored condition that goes with the car. It needs restored with new vinyl and rubber. Just never got around to it. Next the interior was restored using all new materials. The seats were treated to new foam and vinyl. The carpet was replaced. New door panels were installed. All items were brought to factory condition. Switches and controls all function as well. Last the restoration was topped off by adding factory style side pipes to the car. All receipts will be included with the sale. This car really just needs to be driven and enjoyed. My wife and I simply have to many other toys and projects to really enjoy the car. This Vette will show very well. The car runs and drives as well as it looks. The paint, interior, engine compartment are all immaculate, as you can see in the pictures. A convertible 350 horse 4 speed car makes for a great cruiser.
