I purchased the car in 2009, and the owner before me had the car since 1971. I have many of his records, and can supply all of mine. Car is extremely original, but the red is not the original color. I changed the carbs to dual Webers, but still have the original. Car starts and runs beautifully. There is a scratch that was caused by the shipping company on the passenger side that I never fixed that is is on part of passenger door and front panel. Original tool kit included as well. Dash has the typical crack in the center and another rip under wheel. Rest of dash is in nice condition. Seats are ok in front, a few minor tears in driver's seat. Back seats are nice. Interior of roof is nice with a small rip here or there. Emergency brake needs to be changed, and will NOT hold the car on an incline. Also, when on steep incline and in gear car edges down slightly. When parked on flat surface car holds perfectly fine in 1st gear. Car shifts very well, and never pops out of gear. Chasis is solid and accident free. New Bilstein struts. Oil changes religiously. Tires were just rotated, and brakes are still fine. I would classify this car as a great daily driver, but not a show car unless you are willing to make proper restoration. Speedometer stopped working in first NY winter, and thermostat gauge also not working. Please feel free to email or call with questions. NYS doesn't issue titles for vehicles 72 or older, so my registration is proof of ownership. The front pan area would have to be changed at some point, as there is the usual area of rust under the battery tray. Please see videos I have listed above. Buyer arranges and pays for shipping, but I will help where necessary. Car is sold as is. Here are some pics of the undercarriage: http://www.flickr.com/photos/63758015@N04/ The car was purchased from Sunset Classics, and I noticed they still have the complete gallery of photos which are quite extensive from when I purchased the vehicle http://www.sunsetclassics.com/1969-porsche-912/ video of car being driven: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6203VmeuhOQ&feature=related more video: http://www.youtube.com/user/TraderAlamotv?feature=mhee 718.404.6645
