Vehicle Detail
1999 M3 convertible with low miles. This is a re-list with better pictures and more info. Overall the car is in good shape. The body is in above average condition with some minor stone chips and scratches. It is a 99 after all. The interior I would say is average, it has minor age & california sun related leather. The dash is great, door panels-above average, carpet-average. The A/C blows cold, all the windows work. It has key-less entry/alarm with 1 remote. The engine runs great and transmission shifts smooth. The suspension is tight, the car handles great. Everything on this car is stock, un-molested well except for the ugly stereo. The car also has always been adult driven. There are a few minor things wrong- The convertible top opens and closes (with a little help). The compartment door that opens and the top goes in hits the bottom of the top below the window. You just get out and push the top an inch and it clears. I am pretty sure anyone who has had a E36 convertible knows what i'm talking about. The srs (airbag) light is on because my detail guy took the seats out and didn't disconnect the battery first. Here is a link to buy a tool and a good write up about the system. http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/techarticles/Mult-Air_Bag_Lamp/Mult-Air_Bag_Lamp.htm also the passenger side power seat recline gears are stripped, the rest of the seat and the driver side functions normal. One more thing that I need to mention is the previous owner had circuit city put in an after-market stereo that is SILVER with BLUE lights, horrid I know, there are plenty that are black and amber to choose from, I just never got around to changing it. You can hook up your ipod tho. The no reserve starting price more than takes into account the cost of all these things if you choose to do anything about them. Both power steering hoses and fluid have been changed recently. The coolant and expansion tank is new. The transmission and rear differential fluids are new, fuel filter, spark plugs and a fuel system cleaning were done right before I bought the car. I purchased a new water pump with a metal impeller, thermostat and aluminum housing, upper and lower radiator hoses, but haven't installed the kit yet. All 4 tires are brand new, I put back ones on it around 100-150 miles ago and the fronts-that in my last auction were in need of replacement JUST GOT REPLACED along with an alignment! We are going to take one more joyride down the coast before we sell it so expect 100-150 more miles on it. I will fill the gas tank and deliver the car within a 200 mile range. Or pick you up at the airport: Santa Maria Santa Barbara or LAX. I bought this car from a customer of mine for my wife about a year ago. I knew the car was well taken care of or I would never have bought it in the first place. I wish we could keep it but its a 4th car for us and it needs to go. I have worked in the automotive field for almost 20 years, hold 3 ASE certifications and have a CA smog licence. I should have put this in the ad in the first place: The parts mentioned above and in the picture- are not in need of replacement -as of right now. I purchased them when I got the car because -some of these cars have a history of cooling system issues around 60k. The parts you see only cost me $100 -so I figured why not just have the parts on hand if the water pump started leaking, which at this point it has not. The cooling system kit takes 2-3 hrs to R & R- most shops will bill 2-3 hrs maybe 4 if they want to milk you- so I can’t see a shop near you charging more than $100 per hr to do the work -when the time comes. Any questions, please ask! You can email through ebay or call me 805-three four five-5340 link to kelly blue book- you will get this car for a steal, compared to kbb's inflated prices anyway!!!! still- almost 5k off what they say its worth and I even selected fair for the condition is not bad! I think the car is above fair but slightly below good for overall condition. http://www.kbb.com/bmw/m3/1999-bmw-m3/convertible-2d/?vehicleid=5081&intent=trade-in-sell&mileage=66400&options=195183|true|195224|true|195212|true|195224|true|547066|true|195224|true|195230|true|195257|true&pricetype=private-party&condition=fair
