Up For Sale is my 1988 BMW M6 1 out of 1632 produced for the USA. This car is a perfect example of an all –original extremely well maintained Classic. This car runs like it should. NO Leaks, Noises, or Defects in any of the electronics or features. Engine was just tuned up and looked over; Brakes were just cleaned and flushed. Car runs great, engine pulls hard, clutch tight, transmission crisp, and the car handles amazing even with the factory Wheels and Michelin TRX Tires. This car was professionally detailed inside and out and looks amazing. Please understand that the car is not flawless, nor am I representing the car as perfect due to its age of 23 years old. The driver’s seat has a small tear maybe 2” in length. Also the rear speaker cover seems to be damaged from the sun; it can probably be heated and re-glued. The body has very minor, if any, imperfections. For example the hood has a small ding. Please see the pictures for all these flaws. However, considering its age and extreme rareness this car is beautiful and will probably only increase in value! I have excellent feedback and I urge anyone and everyone to ask all questions prior to bidding or making any offers. Please understand that this car is being sold as my personal car and not through any dealership or website. Obviously due to age, I must sell this car as-is with no warranty, Also the payment must be Cash or Certified Funds ONLY. On Jun-21-11 at 15:48:31 PDT, seller added the following information: VIDEO LINK On Jun-23-11 at 07:12:25 PDT, seller added the following information: I had my ASE Certified Mechanic look over the car and he recommends the thermostat and Front Control Arm bushings(Polyurethane) to be replaced. I will change them both before the end of the auction to ensure the car is up to my standards. I also wanted to add the the tires have decent tread remaining but they are old and do show their age. Keep in mind that newer e39 wheels and tires can be purchased inexpensively and installed on the car with ease. I know the value of the original wheels and that's why I chose to keep them on the car. It runs better than ever. The upper control arm bushings were definitely worn, so new polyurethane bushings as well as new (thrust) control arms with new ball joints and bushings were installed. The car feels tight and very responsive. I do want to disclose that the steering wheel is a tad off, and due to the original wheels on the car I will not align the car.
