1971 Cadillac Sedan DeVille Hardtop 22,600 Documented Miles! ORIGINAL SURVIVOR! 90 LARGE PHOTOS BELOW! THIS IS THE LOWEST MILEAGE 70'S DEVILLE ON EBAY! And it is one of the nicest unrestored, original 1971 Cadillac Sedan DeVilles you'll ever see. This is a true ‘no-post’ hardtop that has been garaged and meticulously cared for the last 40 years and it shows! You won't find a steering wheel cover or a dash cover on this car because there is nothing to hide! Door panels, headliner, dash and carpet are all original and undamaged – even the factory Cadillac floor mats remain in place. There are no cracks on the door panels, no cracks on the padded dash and the original steering wheel still looks new, with no deterioration of the wood insert! The original upholstery shows absolutely no wear (please see close up interior photos) though there are a couple of spots that need cleaning. This DeVille is equipped with Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Six-Way Power Seat, Factory Air Conditioning (ICE COLD), original AM-FM radio with rear speakers, door edge guards and original factory floor mats. It is powered by Cadillac's massive 472 cubic inch V8. The engine is original - NOT replaced and NOT rebuilt! Remember that old saying: “runs like a sewing machine?” They were talking about this Cadillac. It is quiet, FAST and accelerates smoothly. Imagine a 22,000 mile car: that’s what this car is - and that’s how it runs! The front end is as tight as a brand new car and there are no rattles! Mechanically this Sedan DeVille is in such great shape that you could drive it anywhere. For safety considerations, all belts and hoses have been replaced, as have the original tires. A brand new set of white wall radial tires was installed last year, along with new shocks. The car has recently been serviced, including a lube and oil change and alignment. Everything works, even the clock! The car is finished in its mostly original Sausalito Green Firemist Poly and has a matching vinyl top. The paint still has a nice sheen and from only a few feet away still looks like a show car. On very close inspection, two areas show evidence of paint work: the trunk (lacquer cracking below trunk crest) and the passenger door. There are also a few small raised areas just below the rear window under the vinyl top (please see close-up photos). Beyond that, this car has absolutely no rust, not even in the lower front fenders or rear quarters, which were notorious for rusting badly on many of these cars. The car has no door dings. There are some minor nicks that have been touched up over the years, and touch-up on the rear edge of the trunk where it may have been buffed too aggressively. Most of these are not noticeable except on close personal inspection. Chrome bumpers are excellent, with some hazing evident on close examination. The trunk compartment is as-new with original carpeting, original spare tire and original jack still in place. The engine compartment is very clean and nice enough for any local show (please see photos). All four headlights are original T-3's. Please remember that this is NOT a restored car, thus it is not perfect. At the start of the auction this 1971 Cadillac has only 22,600 actual, documented miles!! The car IS driven on weekends and thus could have slightly more miles at the auction close. ******************************************** Included with this car are two sets of original Cadillac keys, original owner’s manual, tire warranty, 1971 Cadillac dealer brochure AND 1971 mailer invitation from Williamson Cadillac in Miami to ‘come in and drive the ’71 Sedan DeVille’. Both the brochure and the mailer feature the Sedan DeVille in Sausalito Green (the color of this car)!
