If you have not yet earned a star from Ebay, please contact me before bidding or buying, or I may not honor your bid. This is for my protection from rookie buyers, who may not fully understand your responsibilities before bidding or buying online through Ebay. What you're bidding or buying in this auction is a 1977 Honda CB-750K motorcycle, plus lots and lots of parts and accessories for it. The photos will help explain. There is nothing wrong with the bike, except for a small ding on the tank, and before I started tinkering with it, it ran and rode great. However, it will have to be restored before it can be ridden again. Here's the story. I purchased this bike four years ago here on Ebay. It was to be my 50th birthday present to myself, and I was going to restore it to be just like the one I rode my senior year of high school. What I discovered, after spending many hundreds of dollars on parts and accessories, is that what I really like to do is ride motorcycles. I don't particularly enjoy working on one. I can only estimate the hundreds of dollars I put into new and replacement parts, but the total would probably exceed two-thousand. The first thing I did was lower the rear end two-inches with custom ordered shocks. I purchased four-inch over stock front forks to give it a raked appearance for the classic chopped look of the 70's, which is how my original 1977 CB-750K looked back then, but the new forks are still in a box. I made a number of other small changes, like adding six-bend pull-back handlebars with through-holes for routing the control wires to the headlight (not completed), added an electronic ignition module (not completed), relocated and rewired the rear turn signals (not completed). If I had done one mod at a time, I could've been alright, but by stripping the bike naked, the job got too big for me and I got tired of squatting in the garage. I walked away from the CB and purchased a new Honda VTX later in 2007, and the CB has been covered up in the garage ever since. I was hoping that the motivation to restore her to her youth and beauty would return to me, but it hasn't, and it's time to let her go. The list of new parts and accessories would fill several pages, and I'm pretty certain everything a person could need to make the bike run again is in the bins and buckets of stuff I will include with the bike. Also included are many custom accessories, most of which are visible in the photos, like a brand new crash bar, brand new luggage rack, new back rest with a peace symbol I had custom welded, brand new four-inch over front forks, brand new six-bend pullback handlebars, brand new windshield, brand new chrome chain guard, brand new aftermarket side covers, and two bins full of things like air and oil filters, new mirrors, new cables, new hoses, new grips, new gasket set, new carb rebuild kit, new finned engine covers, new gauge face covers, and many other things I can't even recall, all intended to take her back to her glory. This is the perfect bike for someone who has the time, patience, and mechanical chops to restore her. The auction includes the Clymer repair manual, and the Honda CB750 Gold Reference guide, which contains everything an owner could ever need to know about Honda's CB-750 line of motorcycles. For the right buyer, this bike could be back together and ready to ride next spring. Or, for an astute motorcycle dealer, the aftermarket parts alone are worth more than I'm asking for the whole package. A sharp motorcycle mechanic might turn the bike into a cafe racer and could probably sell the chopper accessories for enough to keep her and break even. The bike includes a clear Ohio title. I expect a 20% deposit immediately after the sale, and the balance within ten days. Payment can be by PayPal or cashier's check upon pick up. I'll deliver the entire package, the bike and all of the parts and accessories you see in the photos, within 250 miles of Nashville for a one-way fee of one-dollar per mile. That covers Memphis, Birmingham, Jackson, Knoxville, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Atlanta, St. Louis. I expect payment before I load it all into a trailer. The only guarantee I make is that the bike ran the last time I had her together, and there's no reason to believe she won't start up and run good the first time she's put back together properly. I don't guarantee the battery. I'll answer any reasonable question, and I'll try to do it within 24-hours. If she doesn't sell by 4th of July, I'll pull the add and cover everything back up again. Maybe I'll feel like giving her another try next spring. Thanks and good luck.
