This truck was purchased new in Valier, Mt. Chevrolet made this body style in 1954 and the first half of 1955. Consquestly some call this a 1954 and a-half. Very few manufactured and after fifty six years, not many left. The only rust is on the floor boards, however can be covered up with the floor mat. It is powered by a 261 cid, 6 cylinder engine with a 4 speed transmission and 2 speed rear axle. It has a 16 foot Knapheide steel box and hoist. The engine runs quite nice. hoist works good, tires are weather checked and nothing special. A crack in the rear window glass, that and the rest of the glass is usable. The speedometer needle seems accurate, however odometer doesn't work. Have put kits in all wheel cyclinders and master cyclinder hydrolic brakes. With some TLC could really be a classic truck. Needs sun visors, head liner, and fiber door panels. Health has been a factor for not having it completely restored.
