Vehicle Detail
Hello, and thanks for checking out my car. I had this listed on e bay last week and ended the auction early because I found out that I had left some information out about the car that I was unaware of, SO this time I am including the whole story as I have been able to decipher it about it. This is a 1964 Ranchero that has been sitting in a storage shed for several years and was just recently brought back out into the daylight. This car overall is in good condition but it does need some TLC. This has a strong running 302 and a C-6 auto trans that shifts and works smooth. The body on this overall is in ok condition, the drivers door does have a wrinkle in it, there is a small rust spot in front of the drivers side rear wheel and this also has the typical rust spots on the cab where the cover plate in the bed is and there is a bad spot on the top of the b pilar over the drivers door, but beyond that the body is ok. The only other "bad" on this is the drivers side of the front bench needs some help. I am not sure who owned it, but the seat needs to be rebuild or have some sort of help, as there is just not much spring left in the seat at all. ,The floor pan on this is in ok condition and the general overall of the rest of this is ok. Now for the rest of the story.... I ran the Vin on the drivers door on Falcon Registry to verify model information and according to them the door tag vin ( 4R27F130162 ) returned to a 1964 ranchero, and upon further inspection of the car, the vin located in the engine compartment is different than on the door and is (5H17C153164) and according to Falcon Registry returns to a 1965 Futura / Sprint hardtop. So at some point someone has done some swaping of parts and pieces Unfortunatley I do not know what or why, Fortunately overall they did a good job. The car runs and drives just fine, and I have included a lot of underside pics as well so you can see exactly what is what with this car, and if you want more pics e mail me, I have put up as many as E bay will allow me to. This car does have a current Arizona Title. and is currently registerd as well. The title is based on the door tag. Overall this is a cool car with a lot of potential and with a little time and tlc this will make a really nice start to or addition to a collection. If you have any questions feel free to e mail me and I will do my best to answer them for you.
