You are looking at a very completely original and Rare 1947 M5 half ton Express Pick-up truck with a 6 cylinder flathead motor 68 hp with the floor mounted 3 speed transmission.Tire and rim 650-16" .This truck was an original bought Idaho Power Co. truck and still shows the original brown and tan paint under the fading paint that was later put on over it.You can tell by the condition of the bed that it was a field manager truck by the condition of the bed.The single walls of the bed are near perfect and the floor itself has just a couple of dents.The body of this truck is so nice that you can't hardly believe the age.Truck was used awhile after being purchased from Idaho Power and put away for a restoration that never happened.The hood has the optional fancy hood ornament and stainless trim in very nice condition.There is some rust thru on the back cab corners(shown in pictures) where it was low inside.Very easy fix.The floors and underneath the truck solid and rust free.Running boards are nice but have some rust where they are bolted on the braces.It has the original steering wheel with a nice horn button.Gauge cluster is complete.The clutch pedal is stuck up.The motor is complete and original.It turns over nicely but we haven't tried to start it.I'm sure that it will need gas tank cleaned etc.Except for a cleaning,this is as found.The back of the cab, the top of truck,The bed stake pockets are in excellent shape.You will not find a better original than this pickup.It's in beautiful condition.It has the original seat that lifts up and down and hinged.It has the Idaho power Co's spotlight and Idaho Power manufactured rear bumper with the serial # and the stock front chrome bumper. If you are looking for a nice original to leave as is and enjoy or a antique truck to restore I don't think you could find a better one.
