I am offering a 1961 CHEVROLET IMPALA TWO DOOR HARDTOP "BUBBLE TOP" for sale.I purchased the Chevrolet in 1979 from the original owner in Texas (SEE THE 1979 TEXAS LICENSE PLATES INCLUDED IN THE PICTURES).The Chevrolet HAS NEVER BEEN FOR SALE IN THE LAST THIRTY TWO YEARS.It has been part of our family for decades.A family decision has been made that it is time to allow someone else to enjoy the car.When purchased in 1979 the Chevrolet still had the dealer installed clear plastic seat covers on the car that are still in place today.The interior is 100 per cent untouched original right down to the black speckled red carpet.I added the following NEW OLD STOCK (NOT REPRODUCTION) ACCESSORIES IN THE EARLY 80s. DOOR EDGE GUARDS FRONT BUMPER GUARD REAR BUMPER GUARD GAS TANK GUARD RED BOWTIE FLOOR MATS (one of the original chevy boxes the mats came in is still in the trunk) The chrome on the car is in exceptional condition.The only trim pieces with any damage are the right door molding has a dent and the right rear "Y" molding is dented.The rubber is all original and in good condition as well. In 1990 as a result of the paint fading I had the car professinally repainted in the original white.The Chevrolet being an original TEXAS car is very solid.The Chevrolet has been stored inside a garage with a car cover since I purchased in 1979.In 1990 FIVE NEW COKER WIDE WHITES WERE PUT ON THE CAR.Other than the repaint and new tires the cars is 100 PER CENT ORIGINAL!!!!!!!. The identification tag under the hood is marked as follows>>> STYLE 61 1837 BODY SL 7766 TRIM 873 PAINT 936A ACC-A-EZI--It has the original EZI GLASS The chevrolet is an original SIX CYLINDER THREE SPEED STANDARD TRANSMISSION.The car was last licensed in 1995(see the pictures of the West Virginia license plate and state inspection sticker).Do to some sickness in our family the car was parked and not driven since 1996.As a result the motor is FROZE UP.I attempted via taking the plugs out and putting oil in the cylinders to turn it over but it will NOT turn over.Also as a result of sitting since 1996 the brakes are not working.The clutch and transmission are still operative with no problems.When last driven everything including the radio-all lights etc work as they should.The original owners manual is also included. Deciding to sell the Chevrolet after owning it for 32 years has been a hard decision but we are offering some own an opportunity to own VERY DESIRABLE TWO OWNER ALL ORIGINAL VERY SOLID 1961 CHEVROLET BUBBLE TOP IMPALA!!!! THAT WOULD MAKE A SUPER CANDIDATE FOR A 348 ENGINE SWAP!!!
