I purchased this car in 2005 from the original owner who ordered it from the Mercedes factory while he was stationed in Germany. He ordered it with the following options: Special two tone paint, Leather upholstery, steel sliding roof, leather cushion between the front seats, right leather head rest, and front folding leather arm rest. Before taking delivery, he had the Mercedes factory add the 300 model trim making this a very unique and rare car. The color from the factory is havana brown and ivory and the leather seats are cognac. After his tour in Germany he had the car shipped to the West coast where he kept the car garaged and carefully cared for. This car looks like a new vehicle with original paint, leather upholstery, and 64,714 original miles. When the original owner took delivery of the car, he immediately put sheepskin seat covers and a dash pad on the car which were still on when I bought it. The leather is perfect showing no signs of age or wear. I've kept the car in an air conditioned garage in Arizona since 2005.Only two things have been done to this car. 1. The original owner changed the 4 speed shift from a column to a floor shift, and 2. When I purchased the car, the owner had put two racing mirrors on the front fenders which I had removed and the holes filled and professionally painted. The workmanship is perfect.The car runs and drives without fault. Everything works including radio. No one has ever smoked in the car and the ash tray was never used. The car comes with the original tools, original bill of sale, and unused Mercedes head rest covers from the factory.
