Vehicle Detail

You are wisely bidding on a completely restored 1961 Ford Ranchero. The cab, engine compartment and drive train are based on the popular Falcon body style. This car has a 170 cu in straight six engine and 3 speed on the column shift transmission. Complete restoration to show condition including custom two tone interior, retro style USA-1 AM/FM radio, alternator conversion, electric wiper conversion. The paint is Wimbledon White (a factory Ford color in the 60's) over epoxy primer with 5 - 7 coats of clear. The battery is a modern style with a "show" style retro battery cover. I have a service manual, factory decals (not installed), lots of extra parts, original generator and vacuum wiper system. The bed is coated with a roll on Herculiner bed liner paint. Lap style seat belts have been added (this car did not have them originally). The tires are not new but have sufficient tread left. New master cylinder, new wheel cylinders (4), new body mounted mirrors (2) and new rear view mirror. New black automotive carpet covers the interior floor surfaces including the rear cab wall under the package tray. All new floor pans welded in. Lots of other new and refinished parts too numerous to name. Everything that needed replacing that was available was replaced. This is a 50 year old "Truck" and was used that way for many of the 50 years, so YES it does have bondo on it. No body damage repairs just smoothing out body wrinkles and fill around welded in patch panels. Driven approximately 1500 shake down miles since restoration completion to make sure everything is working as it should. Minor issues of note: Speedometer needle is a little flaky at certain speeds, minor oil leak on front transmission seal, minor oil leak on rear end yoke seal. Car is located 30 minutes East of Birmingham Alabama
