Vehicle Detail

This 1956 FORD CROWN VICTORIA has been an on-going project of mine for the the past twelve years. A considerable amount of the most difficult and costly improvements have already been done. This project will be a very rare and beautiful automobile when completed. The CROWN spent the first forty years in Western Minnesota so it was extremly solid when I purchased it. The few rusted spots on the floor which were present have been patched and welded. The car has a rebuilt 312, (installed at the time I purchased it), a new stainless steel dual exhaust system with new glass packs, new brake shoes, new brake lines, new brake cylinders, and a new set of tires, The floor and trunk area are rust free and solid. The side glass in both doors and in the vent windows does need to be replaced. The front seat and the backs of the front seat of the Crown had been replaced with a standard tudor front seat at the time I purchased the car.The only modification done to the body was done back in the 50's when the gas tank filler tube was moved to the inside of the trunk. Anyone familiar with the way in which guys put a hurt on their rivals back in the 50's will know the reason why. (If you don't know, think of something white and sweet.) The car has a clear Wisconsin title in my name. NOTE: To avoid any confusion, DESPITE THE PHOTOS, THE CAR IS COMPLETE: Grill, front pan, hood ornament, etc.
