1990 VW Westfalia Pop Top Camper in excellent condition and is as good as it gets! Economic downturn (the need to have a happy wife and happy life) is needed to sell my silver girfriend. Original 104,000 miles. Manual transmission. Sleeps 2 in pop-top bed and 2 in lower bed. I am the second owner of this vehicle and it was purchased from my friend who is a Fanatic about this vanagon. This Westy has a Very Peppy 2.1 Boxer, tight transmission, sound clutch and easily runs at 70 Plus all day with zero mechanical noise and no whistling. Gas it and GO! A real pleasure to drive, more so than my Syncro. Other than the front seats (could use some minor cleaning) the interior is near flawless. The Pop Top has ZERO issues, no rips or thin spots. The body is straight, the weather seals are tight, the window screens are intact with no tears. This beautiful Westy has all of the curtains in good working shape and no busted snaps. There is no rust on the body, doors, door jambs, body seams, roof, running boards, engine compartment panels, large slider, rear window air vent or wheel wells/ The Pop Top exterior finish is in excellent condition as well as the canvas and screens. General Condition: All electrical ie: Turn signals, brake lights, high and low beams, hazard lights, instrument panel lights, interior courtesy lights, fluorescent light, heater/ventilation fan, front and rear windshield wipers and pumps in excellent shape. 1 year old primary and secondary batteries A/C (blows Cold), Blaupunct CD player, Fire extinguisher at sliding door, two stock fold down cup holders on passenger seat, , both front chair swivels work smoothly, large and small swivel tables have no blemishes. Refrigerator and water system work well, have not used the propane stove. That was my next project, to replace the tank. replacement cost is $250.00 from VanCafe in Santa Cruz, CA. Engine tight, 10,000 on rebuilt engine, 10,000 on clutch as well as CV joints. This van was and IS meticulously maintained and has NEVER overheated. No oil leaks, no issues, engine runs cool to warm, not hot. This Westy can idle for 20 minutes without radiator fan engagement, idles flat, doesn’t stall. It pains me to sell it. Have fun bidding!
