Where do I start with this bike? I recently bought this bike from the original owner which he bought new as a left over in 9/73. It is a original 1972 Honda Special Candy Yellow CT70. This was sitting in his basement for years untouched. Never sat outside. I received from the original owner, original owners manual, orig warranty book, orig warranty ID card, orig registration card, and even the original envalope the orig title came in. I also made a copy of the original title before transferring to my name. I have a clear PA title in my name. Has 2,717 original miles. I just had this to a dealer to have it gone over and this is what they did all new parts: New battery, plug, resistor plug cap, carb gasket kit, carb float kit, needle valve set, intake pipe gasket, 2 rear wheel bearing, 2 rear wheel dampers, air cleaner, changed oil with wolf's head oil. I have the receipt for the work (small fortune). This runs good with no smoke. No leaks of any type. All cable are nice and the brakes work. The mufflers has no rust holes like most. This is a 3 spd semi automatic (gears, no clutch). The chrome was some rust here and there the worst is the rear licence bracket and fender. Needs all chrome polished then would look really good. The original paint is very nice a couple small areas of surface rust. All lights, gauges, and horn work. The handle bar are not bent. The seat had a tear and was repaired many years ago. The bottom of seat pan has a very small 1/2" crack as pictures show. Still have the original tools under the seat. The tires hold air but has dry cracks. This bike is to nice to restore this is a original surviver. The only thing I would do to this is real good detailing and maybe a new seat cover. The title must be transfered before the bike leaves.
