1983 Honda XR

For Sale, 1983 Honda XL 185 S. This 1983 Honda XL 185 S dual-sport / enduro has only 945 original miles and it appears that none of the miles were in dirt. It is in excellent condition and does not require any work. My motivation to sell is that I am selling all of my bikes except one 1983 Honda XR 200 R dirt bike. This bike is the last year of a XL 185 and the last year of a XL with dual rear shocks. It has a quiet, powerful and reliable Honda four-stroke engine and five-speed transmission. Also, its frame and tires are slightly smaller than those of 200s and 250s. It is easy to handle, relatively light weight and adequately powerful. It is great for riding around town and off road. Imperfections include a dent on the tank, a tear on the back of the seat, and minor scratches on the plastic side plates that you could easily repaint. I added passenger foot pegs that match well. Its condition and features are shown in the photos. It comes with one original mirror. Sets of original mirrors cost about $15 + shipping, and more adjustable and modern sets of mirrors are available for slightly more. The battery is new and the carburetor was recently rebuilt. The bike has always been in CT and comes with all documentation including title to register it in any state.
