Vehicle Detail
This car is in very good shape. It features a sunroof, premium alloy wheels with brand-new tires, rear spoiler, one-year-old muffler and brakes and perfect, pristine upholstery. You will get a perfect light tan cloth interior which and has hardly been sat upon as it was a commuter car. 98% of the miles are highway driven. The car has been well taken care of with regular oil changes lubrication and maintenance. Everything that needs fixing has been fixed already so you'll be getting a car that will need virtually no maintenance for a long time. This car is very rare as it is one of very few five-speed standard Nissan Maximas ever built and will make a perfect first car for someone who loves to drive sporty five-speed transmissions. This is a fun car! Similar to all cars of this vintage, there are a few small rust spots but nothing terrible, nothing to be concerned with. I have added more pictures from my previous listing and hope these pictures gives you a good idea of the car's condition. It's not perfect but what car of that era is? I believe that for a 1997, it's in quite a good condition, much better than most I see on the road. The car has just over 168 thousand miles of mostly highway driving. Hardly anyone ever sat in any of the other seats, they are perfect, like new. It is a five speed standard, a very rare Maxima and very sporty. I have had many inquiries because of the rarity of this model. Great wheels, spoiler and fast acceleration makes this car fun to drive. It's very tight, yet comfortable. As I have already told you, I have replaced or repaired most every wear item that typically needs replacement on a car all within the last two years. Tires: 5000 miles or less All Brakes: 8,000 miles or thereabouts Muffler and tailpipe: within the last two years AC works great and so does heat. Wiper blades are 6 months old. There are some places on the steering wheel where the black tanning has flaked off but the leather remains intact and comfortable to steer with. There are some broken louvers for the air conditioning, the cigarette lighter mount is not there but the lighter works and charges my cellphone. It's an easy fix if you want to Jimmy Rig with some plastic or putty. The cup holder is cracked also but is easy to replace. I just haven't had the time to do these things. There is one repair that is needed. The ABS light is on. It appears to be working but the light is on and may need to be reset. We don't have a problem here in Mass with that light being illuminated, it still passes inspection. I am the second owner. I purchased it from one of my best friends whom I've known since kids who bought it new from the Nissan dealer. He drove 98% of those miles on the highway as did I after buying it from him. We both used this vehicle primarily as a commuter car. You can drive it away and will have a good ride home. I am sure you will be satisfied that you are getting reliable, good looking, sporty transportation for very small money and drive it for a year or two and sell it for the same price you paid. That's like free use of the car if you think about it. You could even fix it up and probably sell it for a profit. Just an idea. Please feel free to call me at the number listed, 978-473-6912 or e-mail me at krowjohn@comcast.net for more information or an appointment to drive the car. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you. John Krowiak ameripure2 (on eBay)
